Martha and David's B&B in Cancun is my home-away-from-home when in Cancun. The location is perfect for a person who likes to be always on the go due to its close proximity to ADO and colectivos plying different routes, even to far away places like Tulum or Merida. Not only that, this Cancun bed and breakfast is in a place surrounded by parks and greeneries that you always wake up to the sound of songbirds every morning because trees are everywhere.
But my favorite part is breakfast wherein Martha or David will cook different Mexican desayuno everytime or ask you what you want so they can do it for you. Amazing hospitality. If you have no idea what you like to eat, Martha will prepare differently everyday until you discover what Mexican food you'll like. In my case, tamales and totopo are the best.
I highly recommend Los Caracoles Bed & Breakfast in Cancun for those travelers like me who prefer to be immersed in a local setting rather than a tourist hotel. Their rate is very reasonable, their family will become like your family, the location is perfect and the breakfast is great!
I will be coming back to Los Caracoles again during the winter and will stay longer next time.

Read moreThis small B&B is located in a private home in downtown Cancun five minutes’ walk from the main ADO Cancun bus terminal. The neighborhood seems very safe and our hosts, Martha (Marta), her husband David and their son Richard are friendly and helpful. Marta is delightful and goes out of her way to make her guests feel like part of one big family. She’s fully bilingual if you want to practice your Spanish, or your English, and has a wealth of information to share. She prepares a variety of authentic Mexican dishes for breakfast—tamales, molletes, quesadillas, huevos—even breakfast crepes. Rooms are basic and spacious. Ours came with a double and twin bed. There was a ceiling fan and A/C for when it gets really hot. Great value for being in the heart of downtown Cancun....
Read moreExcellent quick email correspondence from owners, who also offer airport pick up which helps after long tiring flight. Extremely warm welcome on arrival at Los Caracoles, large spacious room with both aircon and fan (which was our preference). Shared bathroom but only sharing with one other room so not a problem. Little touches like dressing gown availalble/hairdryer/small safe deposit box. Breakfasts were delicious - fresh fruit, toast, tea/coffee followed by daily Mexican staples - Hueovos Mexicana/Quesedillas/Rancheros/ Refried beans and different sauces. Enjoyed them all, and great way to start your day learning about area. Five minute walk to ADO bus station/shops/restaurants so very central. Thank you David,...
