I love mercados! This market place was big, clean, had all kinds of souvenirs, but best of all, plenty of restaurants to have real Mexican food! Some of the restaurants had indoor and outdoor seating. They were clean, bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly and the food was delicious! Adding some food pictures for reference.

I love mercados! This market place was big, clean, had all kinds of souvenirs, but best of all, plenty of restaurants to have real Mexican food! We were looking forward to this Mercado as a Mercado in Mexico normally is. Unfortunately, this didn’t live up to the expectation that we had. The Mercado had 3 open shops and even though we spoke Spanish and said we were from Colombia, the prices were higher for lower quality things than our hotel, JW Marriott, gift shop. It was really small and didn’t have any food options either. I wouldn’t leave the Zona Hotelera to come to downtown for this mercado. Buy your gifts near your hotel or...

We are staying at a hotel that is a couple blocks away and go everyday here for food, entertainment and to check out shops. Absolutely love it here, prices on food is amazing and good quality, people and vendors are kind, lots of families and a park for kids to play, also little water sprinklers for kids to run through and little electric cars for kids to drive. Excellent market for all your tourist memorabilia. Before you buy anything check the other stores as you can get the same thing cheaper in the shop next door. Plus never commit to buying. I picked up one item for 150 pesos, and said I would think about it. Salesman said I could have it for 125 pesos, I said I might come back. He said I could buy now for 100 pesos. So I bought it...
