There were some issues in the beginning but I must say they have a good manager The second night I went to the front desk to express my concerns and everything changed radically. I'm very pleased with the service I received afterwards. My stay was worth every penny!
LOCATION This hotel has a fantastic location, it's just a few blocks from the main street but it's located in a quiet area. You can walk to the main street in less than 10 minutes. They also have a shuttle, I didn't use it so I don't know if it's extra cost or not.
I was on the 5th floor and It has a wonderful view, morning and evening. I was able to are the Bay and the city, both.
FOOD I didn't use the restaurant but I used room service twice. The food Is ok but you can always walk to another restaurant with great food. There are cafés and restaurants near by. The restaurant Los Cocos is on main street.
ROOMS After expressing my concerns my room was spotless. The rooms are big and the beds and pillows are very very comfortable. I love the fact that they have big windows so you can see a lot. If you like a quiet sleep they have the nice double curtains and the room becomes very dark for a wonderful rest. They have a safe, big mirrors, the toiletries smell good, quiet A/C. The TV works if you learn how to use It.
All in all it was a good stay....
Read moreUpon check in, is when the trouble started. We received our access cards. bd attempted to use the elevator. 4 attempts no success. We returned to the front desk to seek assistance. There we’re 2 staff members present. I suspected the access cards were not properly programmed. while stood there in front of the same lady that checked us in for a few minutes as second front desk employee offered assistance. She attempted the elevator for about 15 minutes. Finally she agreed to reprogram the access cards. We returned to the Front Desk. That is when I noticed why the young lady, who originally checked us in and should have assisted us but was too busy. She was preoccupied with her personal cell phone watching videos and giggling away! She did even acknowledge her mistake not make an apology for wasting our time. ||The other staff was kind and helpful. The pool is in need of cleaning. The wooden decking around the pool is hazardous with loose boards, so watch your footing and wear shoes. ||The hotel is definitely in need of attention, mostly painting and deck renovations. ||It’s close to all the downtown amenities and...
Read moreThe Fiesta Inn is very conveniently located Just a few blocks from the water front and a lovely little shopping strip although the immediate area feels a bit run down. It was very easy to communicate with staff as there was always an English speakers on hand.
My only criticism is the housekeeping and responsiveness to requests. When we arrived in the room (booked for 2) there was only 1 water glass and coffee supplies for 1. We requested more for the next day and nothing changed. The following day not only did nothing change but we didn’t get any towels. My husband requested towels twice that day and by the time we returned to our room at 8 pm no signs of towels. I went to the front desk and had to ask. The desk clerk (the same one my husband spoke with twice) told me he would bring up and I told him I would wait right there for the towels.
The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the bed and bedding were just amazing but oddly the towels were rough and a bit ragged at the edges. No face cloths or hand towels were supplied.
A hotel I will book at again as I only paid $62...
