Casa San Cristóbal — Hotel in Chiapas

The best place I stayed in San Cristobal.

The rooms are well equipped with plenty of hooks and sockets, also a heater which is really appreciated in the cold nights of San Cristobal. The beds are comfortable and have 2 thick blankets.

The hot water in the shower can sometimes be weak but it wasn’t a regular problem and is probably due to multiple people using the hot water simultaneously.

The roof top and the common areas are cozy and clean. The kitchen is a little small but that was never an issue, it also has an electric kettle, microwave and stove top for cooking, and a water dispenser for clean drinking water.

The staff are also very friendly and can be easily reached through WhatsApp which I found very helpful, especially as the few times I contacted them, they responded within minutes.

The wifi was consistent and strong and reached the rooms and common areas, as well as the rooftop.

It’s also in a great location. It’s directly across from a bakery, on the opposite corner of a very cheap convenience store, a few minutes walk from an Oxxo, and a 10 minute walk to the main square, and only a few minutes walk from the ADO station. It’s also surrounded my streets that have numerous affordable restaurants.

It’s a cozy quiet place with very affordable, comfortable private rooms that aren’t that much more expensive than some of the hostel dorms in the area. It’s well maintained and if I come back to San Cristóbal it will definitely be the place I...

I was staying in casa San Cristobal for 16 night and it was amazing!!! I really felt at home! Angel and his sister Lucero, are super nice and very lovely🤗 The place is super clean and calm, the kitchen and the room are great, you have exactly what you need for the cold nights in San Cristobal like a comfortable bed and heater. They have very nice rooftop that is very rare in San Cristobal, and downstairs a small coffee shop and amazing desserts to start/finish your day. The people/travelers that stayed there was very nice and friendly too. The value that you will get for the price is amazing and really worth it. I really enjoyed my stay in Casa San Cristobal, I booked for 1 night originally and extended for 13 nights!- then I returned to SCDC and stayed here for another 6 weeks!- it felt like home for me. The location is great, it’s a very close walk to the centre and the OCC bus station too. Lots of great restaurants and shops near by and the area feels safe. Angel and Lucero are really friendly and helpful with anything you need. The Casa is beautiful, the private rooms and en-suite are very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
