HOTEL OCCIDENTAL — Hotel in Jalisco

The hotel is located in a great place. You have 2 minutes walk from a macdolalds and 10 minutes away the cathedral and other tourist spots. The bars around are amazing in case you get really drunk and can come back quick. The hotel has no guest in bed room policy. If you wish to take someone have to pay 100mxd per person per entry which is bit annoying. Also the room lights are low so you mind not feel great at night. The clean the room well and you get the soap and shampoo without brush and others. Floors are old so that might be a problem for you. Overall perfect for budget tourists and family. Oh, there was an incident in a room next to mine. The couple complained that someone stole their laptop, phone and other stuffs from their room despite it was locked. Its an oven - i slept maybe 2 hours dripping in sweat. Spent 200 pesos on water and electrolyte drinks that i wouldn't normally - so I could have booked a hotel for 550 - 600 pesos with air-conditioning. Most hotels will also have some complimentary water, not this one. This hotel has some sort of plastic over the mattress - guess to stop all the sweat from.guests getting through - but makes the bed like the grill in the oven, hot bed. This is a very, very basic hotel, at a basic price. Rooms- small, clean, ask for first floor and courtyard, which is much quieter. Only one electric outlet, so bring an extender. No heat or ac. Super small bathroom. Bottom line is this is a basic hotel, but everything works, it is clean, and the staff is friendly. THEY RIPPED ME OFF ON PRICE. I booked online, they did not honor the price.
