Came here because I tried going to La Chata and the line was insanely long. I was told this was a good second option to come to.

I was seated almost immediately once I arrived and as I write this review, I am still seated here at the restaurant. It was incredibly disappointing to say the least.

I asked the waiter what he recommended and he told me the carne en su jugo was exceptional and one of the more popular items on the menu, so I bought an order of that.

Upon it arriving to the table, I was taken aback at how different it looked from the photo. It was nowhere near the amount of meat or beans pictured. It honestly felt like they took them both out of a can, heated it up and served it to me. So so disappointing, especially when you consider that this is one of the more traditional/typical dishes of Jalisco.

It was definitely not worth the money or the time lol. I wish I waited in line...

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCIA CON LA GERENTE EN TURNO (Miriam escuche que le decía) el primer platillo llegó bien y estaba bueno, pero el segundo me salió UN PELO, le comentamos a una mesera y le dijo a la gerente que era la que estaba pasando a las personas, retiró el pelo y no regresó hasta que le hablamos diciéndole que qué pasaría esperando que nos diera una solución, ya fuera volver a preparar el platillo o cambiar de platillo ella muy en su papel despota dijo que no haría nada porque ese pelo no era de nadie del restaurante que capaz hasta nosotros lo traíamos, le dije checa tus cámaras y que si no era del ambiente por el aire y que ese ya no era su problema porque hay muchas basuritas en el ambiente, que haría algo al respecto si hubiera sido una cucaracha y que el platillo no podría cambiarlo y si queríamos para llevar nos daba la mitad del platillo ya consumido, pero que no nos podía dar la solución, si no le llamábamos ella no se hubiera acercado ni siquiera pidió una disculpa por el mal momento del platillo, a mi novio le comenté, VOY A HACER UN MAL COMENTARIO EN REDES SOCIALES y ella se acerca con mal modo diciéndome, te escuche lo que acabas de decir, y le dije si y si lo haré porque estoy en mi derecho, se puso nerviosa y estaba diciéndole a los meseros que no nos iba a dar ni para llevar la mitad de platillo porque yo dije que haría un comentario negativo del restaurante, me dijo que pagara la cuenta y la vdd yo ya estaba muy molesta y le dije tráeme el la mitad del platillo porque lo estoy pagando completo y te pago la cuenta y dijo: ya tráiganselo pero todo revuelto porque no voy a gastar en platos extras, se me hace una falta de respeto, yo sé que no es un restaurante 5 estrellas pero almenos deberían de tener personal que resuelva y traten bien a sus clientes, ya que la comida puede estar rica pero con atención como la de la gerente no dan ganas de regresar y jamás lo haré y a mis conocidos nunca les recomendaré asistir aquí, pésima gerente que tienen, deberían de cambiar o ver bien a quien ponen al frente del negocio, el mesero que nos atendió muy amable, yo y mi novio solemos dejar buena propina pero lastimosamente por esta situación dejamos justo, no sé si nos trataron así porque ven que somos una pareja joven o no sé si piensan que no tenemos para pagar, y eso ya entra en discriminación, qué lástima visitar LA GORDA y ser atendidos de...

La Gorda In downtown GDL is fantastic! It rivals the place down the street called La Chata which I’ve been to before and in all honesty your better off at La Gorda. The service is super fast, big mugs of coffee unlike la Chata where your having to refill all the time because Cups are so small and the waiters at la Chata are hard to flag down they are running everywhere!
