I stayed here in early April of 2019, Friday through Sunday. I really enjoyed my stay here. Positives: very helpful staff; convenient and plentiful breakfast buffet; cool and modern room decor; recently renovated building, so the rooms seem new-ish; location convenient to the downtown historical district, just a few long blocks away; excellent shower and water pressure for that. The staff were very welcoming, especially Luis on the day shift, who helped us book a couple of interesting tours in and around Guadalajara. My only peeves about the room were that there are no drawers to put your clothes in, and the lock on the door was not high quality, and a little tricky to lock from inside, until you figure it out, and there is zero counter space in the bathroom. Other than that, the room was fine. It was a junior suite that faced the front of the hotel, the side with the bus stop out front. Since we had the A/C on and the windows closed the whole time, I did not really notice much in the way of noise from the street, though I see other travelers here have mentioned it. The neighborhood is not the best, or prettiest, but I would not let that be a reason not to stay here. The hotel has a lot of good points, and we felt welcome and well-treated the whole time we were there. If you like a larger room, you should probably book a junior...
Read moreI've stayed at this hotel many times since it was built. My first time was in 2016; at the time everything was like new and great. At the time breakfast was included with the stay but I guess is no longer the case. The restaurant, I ate in one night on my trip last week and the whole place smelled like dirty fryer grease - so either the kitchen is not clean or the hood system is not working properly.
The room itself, the bed was good as before, some stains on the sheets and towels a little old. Mold behind the sink where it is starting to separate from the wall. - For the price of the room I could look beyond that.
The hotel needs to address these minor issues but overall the staff and service was as good as before. Location is in the heart of downtown, not the best to walk around at night (as with most cities) but in the middle of it all during the day.
I would still stay here again but hopefully they will address the issues. (This was my third visit (2016 /...
Read moreGreat experience! They let me check in 6 hours earlier and took about USD30 for the same ! Great staff ! I stayed here for about 10 days. I ate quite a lot of meals in the restaurant as well ! They don’t have many veg options, so it was a little difficult for me ! I barely eat fish, and no meat at all ! And only one person in helping staff talks English. So I was very much reliant on google translator ! But the staff was really patient and great with me ! I took a couple of printouts as well at the reception which costed 5 pesos per page Also I did my laundry with them which costed me 140 pesos All the cost and charges were quite reasonable ! There was construction ongoing on the roads by the hotel: so at day time, there was noise ! But overall it wasn’t bad ! I took a lot of meetings from the hotel, internet was...
