Hotel del Prado — Hotel in Mexico City

I usually stay at this hotel twice a year because I assist to a convention that is held in one of the halls. The only decent thing here is the food (it's tasty and nice). Besides that, the hotel, along with the staff is totally crap! The beds are terrible, pillows resemble more to a rock than a pillow. They have been fixing 2 out of 3 elevators for years, so there's only one elevator working for a hotel of 23 floors, so good luck if you;re in the high floors. The rooms are poor lit, the carpet is old and dirty, the air conditioned systems are old and noisy. Water pressure is nice. The ceiling on the hall we had the convention was falling apart because strong winds and rain started to drop!! Definitely not a good...

This is not the fanciest hotel but service was impeccable. The included breakfast is delicious, varied and more than enough with table service. Amazing! They do have a problem with WiFi. Seems the better rooms have spotty WiFi. We talked to the front desk about it and they moved us. Smaller room but better connectivity. Every single employee we encountered was friendly, polite and helpful. Being attached to the mall was an added bonus. Have a good location, it's possible to get to the place by two main avenues. Is connected to a decent mall, perhaps lacks of a supermarket but you can find the most needed articles. The staff at the restaurant "el café " is very nice and respond quickly so you will have a very good meal. My experience at the buffet was pretty good, the food was great, perhaps lacks of variety but for having a good meal is fine. The buffet cost $200 mxn less than $10 usd. The bad: only one drink...
