First of all - make sure to ask the hotel to organize an in room massage with Ines, she comes onsite and truly gives the best massage along with reflexology reading. Make sure you tip her in cash!
What was great: the design of the place, and the lady who checked me in was lovely. We did have a good stay. We had a room with an outdoor area, it was really nice. Location was good lots of coffee shops within a few blocks and Ubers are cheap $2-$5 and it took me only 25mins to the airport with traffic.
Not so great:
The stay was honestly great, I just got some strange vibes...
Read moreWe loved our time at Casa Pani. The days started with a lovely breakfast around a big, beautiful common table. There was plenty of wonderful food to eat that was beautifully presented on the table- fresh locally made delicious pastries, granola, yogurt, fresh juices, fresh cut fruit, coffee, and tea. In addition, we could order several egg dishes prepared by a lovely cook who came out and took our order. We connected with other guests during breakfast and exchanged helpful travel tips. Diana was there most mornings but made a point with connecting with us our first morning there. She made sure we had everything we needed and were able to contact her on WhatsApp for anything we might need throughout our stay. She helped us with recommendations and reservations. She even helped us get out of a language barrier jam when we were out and about one day. The staff at Casa Pani made us feel very welcome and at home. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the location of Casa Pani which was close to public transportation and many restaurants, and even right around the corner from a lovely spa. That said, the street was quiet and we felt like we were close to everything but out of the fray. We loved our home away from home and look forward to visiting again on our next trip to...
Read moreJust finished a 5 night stay at Casa Pani. It was a private home designed by a famous Mexican architect now converted to a boutique hotel. The rooms are uniquely designed and the house is beautiful. Perfect spot to stay if you’re looking for alternatives to popular Roma Norte and La Condesa. Still walking distance to both and plenty of Ubers if you’re not keen to walk. Don’t miss the beautiful stain glass windows in the church next door.
Nice local neighborhood vibe and loads of restaurants and cafes along Rio Lerma, a short walk away. Check out tacos at Los Lalos Taqueria Al Carbón and churros at Chu-Cho. Popular churros chain Churrería El Moro also on the same street.
Don’t worry that there’s no hotel reception. The hotel staff set up a WhatsApp chat once you check in, it was very convenient for any questions. I had a very late night arrival, and they were so responsive and were at the hotel...
