Junto al Rio Beachfront Hotel Sayulita — Hotel in Nayarit

For all future travelers, I personally did have a great experience as it's written from past guests at this location, yes location is right on the beach. Which is the only positive and staff members were ok, but they also withold information act as they don't know. Upon arrival a young man Marcus made us sign a waiver stating they're not resposible for anything and everything that belongs to you (this includes your personal belongings the hotel or your rental car that allows to park, they are 0% responsible should anything happen, its their resposility to disclose such terms at time of booking on their end.||Marcus walked us to where we'd be staying and try to show the safe box functions execpt was non-functional, he said would send someone to fix it next day (never happened) we were forced to carry all of our valuables at all times, since their waiver stated wouldn't guarantee to keep any of our belongings safe. ||Puerto Vallarta is knowingly humid, in which we expected to have proper ventilate and screens outside etc. to keep the bugs and rodents outside. This was not the case the door & windows are made of bamboo which you are expose to noise and creepy things crawling in, (never read any of this information on their end) we only had one ceiling fan to cool the entire room, did not keep us cool! This is not a place for small children, anyone can or could simply walk into room, they don't have much of a lock. The absolute worst thing was the following: WARNING: don't ask for transportation at all, I was scam by getting a fare fee for 4-5 times higher than the normal fee of $500-$600 pesos one way from airport to location or vs. Just take uber or taxi, I got taken advantage for a total $2625 equals approx $130-140 US DLS, Beds absolute hard as rocks, No A/C. The icing on the cake was the massive roaches, had be so on edge throught the nights, woke up with some under my sheets, was so awful, brought this to their attention and got an ignorant response, (ok will see how we can do that after suggested they need screen protection) as we were walking to our room one night we ecnounter a large rotten (RAT) next to the beach there a river where water end up on the beach, unfortunately they discard trash and that goes righ into the ocean, this establishment needs to take resposibitlity to be able to manage issue, they don't charge cheap. ||Last, they offer a restaurant/bar but not for me becuase all people who stay here are smokers and was not a great experience having a meal. Stayed 3 nights were the most stressful ruin my vacation and did not rest. Next time skip the jungle theme and get a indoor with pool and A/C was not worth location...

This place is AWESOME! I have never stayed in a place that I enjoyed as much as here. Junto al Rio Beachfront Hotel (bungalows) are very natural but there are all the necessary items a person would need. King size bed with 4 big pillow and a comforter that I just snuggled into. The bungalow we stayed in was upstairs which were spiral. The windows, door, roof were made out of bamboo and the roof is thatch. Great service...from the time we checked in till the time we checked out. I walked around the place, which again is all natural, and felt a sense of peace. Junto has it's own beach bar. I felt like I was in another world because it is so authentic. I was too early for checking in and because of that the staff said they would hold our "luggage" (which basically is a big backpack) till the room was ready and they would let us know when it is. So we sat on a beach chair underneath an umbrella and ordered drinks. Stan and I met the manager of the bar whose name is Jose. If you want to feel special, Jose is the man with his team workers. Watching how Jose works is why I felt I was in a safe place and in good hands. Coming back for dinner was another great time with Jose and the cook Moises. Jose made me a brand new drink which I had to name. It was delicious and I called it "The Sassy Penny". It is so smooth tasting. Jose did the same for Stan and we named it "The Green Tongue" Jose chatted with us quite a bit and by doing so he answered every question I asked about his life. Jose has an awesome story to tell. He is very gifted with intelligents, caring, personable man and has a photographic memory. His attentiveness went above and beyond. Moises, the cook, made us a sirloin burger that has cheese, pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and chipotle on the side along with steak cut fries. The sirloin burger and fries were very tasty. Moises is just as friendly as Jose. At one point, Moises had tears in his eyes when I was explaining how good God is. The hospitality shown by Jose and Moises makes me want to back in 2022. Staying in the bungalow at night is awesome. The windows have no screens (cus you don't need them) that when you fold them open, you feel like your the Swiss Robertson Family from the movies. Accommodation: We opted for one of their tent rentals, and it was nothing short of amazing. The tent was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a full kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, and utensils. The beds were cozy, and the air conditioning provided a welcome respite from the warm weather. The highlight was definitely the fantastic shower with excellent water pressure and piping hot water.

Location: Nestled right on the beach, Junto al Rio Bungalows & Suites boasts an enviable location. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the waves and spending lazy afternoons lounging by the sea. Being just a 5-minute walk from downtown Sayulita, we had easy access to a plethora of restaurants, shops, nightlife, and yoga studios.

Dining: Adjacent to the property is a fantastic restaurant that served 5-star dishes with impeccable service. We indulged in delicious meals while soaking in the stunning ocean views, making our dining experience truly memorable.

Hospitality: The staff at Junto al Rio Bungalows & Suites treated us like family from the moment we arrived. Their warm and attentive service enhanced our stay and made us feel right at home. We were impressed by their genuine care and hospitality throughout our time at the property.
