Bungalows El Eden — Hotel in Oaxaca

I had already heard that the locals in Mazunte are very friendly and kind, and the owners at El Eden confirmed it! We arrived absolutely destroyed from our drive from Oaxaca, where we had taken the wrong turn several times and took much longer than the actual route. We arrived in the early morning and slept a few hours in our car, until we hoped we could reach a more appropriate time to enter El Eden. I had already sent a Whatsapp message explaining the situation and while I moved into another position in our car I saw the owner walking towards our car looking for us. He was very nice and told me to wait and see if a room was free and came back very soon to tell us that we were good to go inside, and that we were allowed to enter early because we were so tired. You cannot imagine the happy feeling of being so welcomed after such a tough journey. The room itself was very nice and had everything we needed. The garden was absolutely beautiful and we saw some tropical birds a few times. After we went down the steps, the beach was already there after a short walk and Punta Cometa was also very near where we hiked to and enjoyed the sunset. Reservamos una habitación que sabemos sería sencilla, ya que planeamos estar fuera durante la mayoría de nuestra estadía. Al llegar no hubo explicación de nada y sólo nos dieron llaves y nos mostraron la puerta de nuestro cuarto. La habitacion estaba llena de telarañas, bichos y heces de algún animalito. El baño tenía cabellos y olía muy mal, cuando le notificamos a recepción corroboraron las condiciones del cuarto y enviaron a qué limpiarán de nuevo y la verdad es que no hizo gran diferencia .La habitación está muy muuuy deteriorada, muebles, puertas y madera en general. No había cortina de baño, ni separación entre escusado y ducha. Nos quedamos sólo la primera noche porque no encontramos espacio en otro lugar. Por la noche nos comieron los mosquitos (parece que el mosquitero tiene hoyos).

Los puntos a favor son los bellos sonidos de la naturaleza que de escuchan por la noche y que los señores mayores que nos atendieron al cambiar la reserva, después de una larga conversación pudimos solo hacer nuestra estadía por una noche y que no nos cobrarán de más. Los exteriores y la vista...
