This place is very new (I think we were the 3rd guest to stay there) so there wasn't a lot of reviews. Given that we were traveling last minute and didnt have a lot of choices, we took a gamble and booked the place. It ended up being a great decision. The rooms are new, clean and modern. While on the small side (although nothing you wouldn't experience in most hotels in downtown Oaxaca), we still had a nice, new king bed to sleep on. ||||The breakfast spread was impressive! Lots of choices - even for vegans like us. But the best part is the location. You are close to everything here! We only used a vehicle for the out of town tours, the rest of our time was walking in and about Oaxaca. It's such a great town for walking - with brightly lit streets and plenty of law enforcements, we felt safe at all times, even late at night.||||Last of all, we can't say enough about the staff. They were so helpful to us! Providing recommendations and booking reservations for us, and even researching places we could eat, we have never felt so looked after. By the end we felt like we had new friends! (I hope you are reading this Elena and Sebastian!)||||Note: If you have any concerns about staying here due to the amount of reviews (like we did), I highly recommend emailing them. They sent us photos and answered our questions promptly. ||||Have...
Read moreThis hotel is simple and adequate. It was at a great location, had a comfortable bed with nice linens, was a good value, breakfast was sufficient, the rooftop restaurant had good food, and it was very clean. I didn't interact much with the staff, so can't comment on their friendliness or helpfulness. The room was small with not much room for a suitcase. There was a lot of noise from street, hallway, doorbell, and patrons coming and going from the rooftop bar/restaurant, so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. One odd thing was the door to the rooms have three narrow panels in them with frosted glass which, when the lights were on in the hallway, shone through to the room at night making it not as dark as you might like for sleeping. There is a safe in the room (but no directions on how to set the combination), no mini fridge, and a hairdryer was available by asking. Overall I would stay here again due to location,...
Read moreI stayed there for two nights and I found the location of the hotel fantastic since everything is in walkable distance and there are so many options for food nearby. They serve a simple but healthy complimentary breakfast in the morning, if you want to enjoy it. My room was on the first floor and it was nicely decorated and comfortable. Although a bit small, it was okay for one person. The major problem was with noise coming from both inside (people walking up and down the stairs leading to the terrace and shouting and laughing at any time of the day/night in the corridor) and from outside (my room was above a very trafficked street). I couldn’t sleep a wink the first night and I partially solved the issue with earplugs the second one. But since I am a light sleeper it was a big problem for me. However, everything else was fine, so I guess it depends on your...
