\ Boulenc 5 ⭐️ \ $30 CAD [2ppl] \\ Items ordered (price in Mexican peso)
Matcha Latte $31 + Capuccino $31 Great portions, the cappuccino was delicious (not pictured) and the matcha was nice, frothy and the mexican milk made it even more flavourful. Very balanced and worth it.
Molletes $142 Insanely good, the bread was the right amount of crispy, and full of flavour being it’s freshly baked. The beans, cheese, cream and salsa pairings add a deep creamy freshness that hits the right spots. Oaxaca cheese is fantastic, and i found the dairy in Mexico to be more rich and creamy overall. Absolutely recommend. Portions are unbeatable.
Shakshuka Huevos Pochados En Salsa de Tomate Picante $75 Cooked to perfection, a hard feat, very fresh taste. Sauce was a great pairing, made of chilli oil, a nice kick of spice, fresh eggs made a delightful brunch.
Croissant $39 Amazed at the quality of their croissant, buttery, crispy and baked to Parisian standards. Even better than croissants in Toronto. great pairing with their coffee selections.
\\ In the morning or for brunch, it’s a nice and quiet space, lovely place to enjoy a morning coffee. \\\ 4 - the server was warm and welcoming, checked on the water frequently and the food came at an adequate time. Since it’s a popular spot, I recommend you make a reservation (if possible) or show up early. We had to wait 30 minutes at the door to...
Read moreOooh, where to begin ? wooow, I over ate just it was incredible. First, there was no sign to see the restaurant. It was 100 m from my hostel and was recommended by the reception.
Atmosphere: You enter into another dimension an open roof, and on the sides, a high roof full of greenery sculptures and art installations, the decore is so harmonious and alive .
Staff: very neat, not so young people you feel that they are working with passion always having an eye on you smiling and friendly.
Food : I ordered a lamb hamburger it came with 3 sauces and pickle along side potato chips , the best quality ingredients I've seen so far in Oaxaca city, very on point burger no extra sauces or ingredients, all is perfectly balanced with taste and texture. I asked to see when do they close to see if I come back at night , they close at 10h30 so I couldn't wait , I ordered a wooden oven mushroom pizza with spinach 2 types of cheese one local one aged purple onions garlic butter ,,, I can't remember specifically but I ended up eating a full pizza on top the burger..
They have sourdough and sweets , can't wait for the night to go back for dessert.
And ohhh while goin to the toilet I was surprised to see people hanging outside , having drinks,, it's a wc and bar at the same time , I really loved this ingenious idea . You won a 5 stars...

I went two times to this place while staying 6 Dyaus in Oaxaca. Why? Food, environment and service here are great plus they have a decent wifi connection that I used while I worked. The staff: more than lovely. The place is surprisingly fresh (in the first floor) despite being in Oaxaca that is very hot usually. The second floor can be a bit hotter (despite the roof), but it’s also more quiet.
My food recommendation:
Avocado toast is good and big. Breakfast burger is tasty but small. I found it perfect if you complement it with some fruit The fruit bowl is very generous. The best one I had in Oaxaca actually. Well presented, with generous amount of berries (which for me are a nice touch) and with granola. Overall: nice nice.
Green juice: Good, but not a must. Swap it with orange juice dependido on your carvings 🍊vs 🥒
Coffe: Very good expresso. Not of the cheap stuff you find everywhere but actually good roast quality. Recommended.
Cons: It’s you will need to wait for a bit to enter. Apparently it is hype so it gets crowded. First time I équites around 25 mins. Second time around 10.
The girl at the entrance is very nice tho and there are chairs. Maybe bring a book...
