A reply to someone's previous comment was probably addressed to me. The comment before that was not mine, I'm not crazy to write comments while I'm still in the hotel :) But now that we've left I can write everything. I have no complaints about the cleanliness and everything else, I also never have any complaints about the TV, I don't watch it at all, it may not be there at all. One day we found the TV turned on when we entered the room. Only one room key. There is a mountain of garbage in the neighboring area with old toilets, it is not the most pleasant view after leaving the room, I understand that it is not your property, but somehow you could cooperate with the neighbors and manage the garbage. The hotel was booked through booking com for 3 persons, 2 adults and 1 child, but when the confirmation came from booking it only contained 2 adults, this is a booking com error not mine, the room is 2 with two double beds, so it doesn't change anything whether 2 persons or 3 When we arrived at the hotel, we were forced to pay an additional 270 US dollars for the child as an additional person. This is a scam. 270 for nothing. I immediately tried to book again for 3 people, booking com showed the same price as for 2 people, nothing changes. The next day, the hotel employee informed me that my reservation was not paid at all, and again it was a booking com error, I checked the account and paid without any questions on the spot. but for some reason the hotel staff didn't tell me that right away when we arrived and when they demanded to pay for the extra person, the most important thing for them was to charge for the extra person. This is not some kind of resort, breakfast is also for an additional fee which we do not need, what is the purpose of charging for an additional person if the room is intended for 4 and there are 3 people, for an additional set of towels 270 USD is an abnormal price here, knowing that when booking 2 or 3 for people, the price of a double room is the same. Here is the hotel along with booking com...
Read moreThere are so many hotels and other accommodations in Playa del Carmen that it’s hard to make a decision where to stay, especially when most places have mixed reviews at two extremes. Posada Sian Ka’an had more consistently better reviews than most, and the location and price was right so I chose it. Still, it was my first trip to Mexico so I didn’t know what to expect. ||I’m glad I followed my instincts. It was excellent — large, clean rooms, comfortable bedding, wide screen TV, balcony, refrigerator, etc|||The property itself is even better than how it appears in pictures — it has a large courtyard with a small, clean and well-lot pool, a seating area, beautiful landscaping, and a cenote (not swimmable). There is a place to refill your bottles with filtered water.||| I was told it is one of the older hotels in Playa del Carmen, but it does not look old at all and has clearly been well maintained. The manager, Jose, was so helpful and kind, and this makes such a difference when you are a solo traveler in an unfamiliar place. I would definitely stay here again. The other staff were excellent as well. One important thing to note - Playa del Carmen can be very noisy from late-night music, but because most of the building is set back from the nearby Fifth Avenue, it is fairly quiet - you can still hear some music but it’s much quieter than most other areas near...

Coffee, fruit with yogurt, and||a toast with salsa and cheese were offered.||The second day, my sister had a towel pet on her bed, along with some flowers!||We didn't use the pool.||Though it was quiet, I could hear some type of pan flute playing well into the ||evening. It was not displeasing at all-I was just curious what is was.||Well, at the nearby park, there was a tall pole where costumed guys climbed up||and eventually swung down. The one guy was playing the piped instrument||at the top of the pole. Now I know! The dance of the flyers.||We agreed we'd stay here again. The hotel was a great start to our...
