I planned to visit this museum because it looked interesting and I also needed a break from the sun to heal a nasty sunburn! What I experienced next was not at all what I expected! Fun, laughter and lots and lots of cool photos showing amazing optical illusions. When I purchased the ticket I was really stunned by the price ( 600 Pesos which is 42 Canadian dollars). I can honestly say that I have never paid that much to visit an average museum except in Europe when I visited the Louvre! I went on a Monday afternoon and it was quiet. Right away I was whizzed away by my guide Anahi, a beautiful , intelligent and friendly young woman who basically made my experience awesome. She gave me a cloth bag and nylon socks and asked me to remove my shoes. The museum does not permit shoes as the paintings are on the floor and everywhere. Basically she guided me through a series of beautiful paintings where she instructed me on where to stand and how to pose. She took a picture with my camera and what came out was nothing like what I saw with my own eyes. The 3D optical illusion can only be seen once the photo is taken. For the next hour and a half she was my personal photographer and we had so much fun. This then explains the high entrance fee which I think was totally worth it!! At some point my camera ran out of storage space so Anahi volunteered to take the pictures with her camera and then email them to me. So she did ( and also sent them promptly to me ). At the end of the tour I sat in a movie theatre and watched a biography of the artist . It was SUPER interesting! I then was escorted to the Museum coffee shop where I was offered a free coffee and guide to Mexico! Again my server was a real sweetheart! I loved my experience at the 3D museum. I HIGHLY recommend you to visit this place when in PDC. Bring your camera and get ready to have fun in this interactive Museum. A BIG thanks to Anahi my guide. She was such a friendly and awesome young woman with good english too! When you go for the tour ask for Anahi and also please don't forget to tip your guide. These people work hard to make the tour experience and to make the photos good! They probably don't get much as of hourly wages. Just a courtesy...
Read moreWay overpriced! Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for kids, 1/2 price on Sundays FOR LOCALS ONLY. You walk in through a cinema that shows street artists (images from the '70) but the actual painting that you'll see in the museum are reprint, NOT original. Anyway.. We went two years ago, and we thought it was expensive but a fun way to kill one hour on a rainy day. When we went back a couple of days ago, we were very disappointed acknowledging that a big chunk of the 3D museum (aka the 3 best and large images) was converted in a totally different museum, and in order to access that, you've got to pay even more! As a family of four we spent over $100 already, and we were done taking funny pics in about 30 minutes. So, if you're a FB and Instagram obsessed, you may consider it worth, otherwise, you can surely find a better place where to spend your $$ (Frida Kahlo museum to name one) The pics that follow represents some of the images THAT HAVE BEEN REMOVED...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had the most wonderful experience at the 3D Museum of Wonders this week! The staff was amazing in helping us understand the concept by explaining the process and then leading us through a few of the poses and photo shots in order to capture the most incredible effects all throughout the gallery. Yesenia even went further by spending time with us and making our photos look so realistic and professional making the whole experience fun and fantastic…. She was so friendly, enthusiastic, and professional while giving us license to channel our childlike spirit throughout the entire photo shoot! We were so impressed by all the beautiful artwork and the technology that allowed us to step into world of so many famous masterpieces! Thank you so much 3D Museum of Wonders for giving us a most enjoyable and fun filled day in...
