An Unforgettable, Exhilarating Experience for All Ages!

We recently had the absolute pleasure of skydiving with Skydive Playa, and I can’t recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal.

I jumped alongside my 15-year-old daughter, my 21-year-old stepson, my 14-year-old niece, and my 21-year-old nephew, quite the age range, and every single one of us walked away grinning from ear to ear, already talking about when we could do it again. At 52, I wasn’t sure what to expect, even though it was my second jump of my life, but I can honestly say it was one of the most thrilling and uplifting adventure experiences ever.

What stood out most was how safe and reassured we felt throughout. The team at Skydive Playa are absolute professionals, calm, confident, and clearly experts at what they do. Every instruction was delivered clearly, every question answered patiently, and their attention to detail was incredibly reassuring, especially for the younger ones in our group. You can tell safety is their top priority, and they carry it out in a way that still keeps the mood light and exciting.

And what fun it was! The energy and enthusiasm of the instructors was infectious. They made the build-up exciting rather than nerve-wracking, with a perfect balance of humour and seriousness. From the moment we suited up to the final exhilaration after landing, the whole experience was handled with impeccable professionalism and a genuine passion for what they do.

The jump itself? Absolutely breathtaking. The views were spectacular, and the freefall is something words can hardly do justice. It’s an adrenaline rush like no other, yet with a strange sense of peace once the parachute opens. My daughter hasn’t stopped talking about it since, and can’t wait to do another!

If you’re considering a skydive…whether you’re a teenager, a young adult, or in your fifties like me, don’t hesitate. Skydive México is truly world-class. They made us feel safe, excited, and above all, alive.

This was a birthday gift from my fiancé. I was terrified when I found out about it.

We came to the main office to get the instructions. The first thing I saw was the insanely happy face of the instructor - Rodrigo, and I thought - I don’t what a different instructor 😅 we went through the instructions (twice) and started to wait. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by 1.5 hours, they told us they were behind due to the weather conditions from the morning (it would be nice if they asked us to come later so we didn’t wait in the office)

Rodrigo was the only happy person on the plane, and he ended up to be my instructor. I don’t regret it at all jumping with him. He talked to me (in his happy manner), told me how to breathe and what to do. The jump when smooth, he turned the camera on, tapped me in the shoulder and said - let’s go. He made very nice video shoots, at some point after we passed the free fall phase he lets me to steer.. it was amazing! The landing was very smooth. Thank you Rodrigo!

I also read some negative reviews where people complain about the plane, that it’s old and etc. I don’t remember the name of the pilot, he was very professional, it was one of those pilots that will fly anything (I know that, I have been trained to fly a small plane). The plane is not new, that’s right, however, it’s not the end of the world. The plane is in a good condition, it’s been taken care of and professionals operate it.

I like to keep my reviews short, but at this case, I wanted to share my entire experience of the first jump, and express the feeling that I still have.

If you are the 1st time jumper, the most scary part of the jump is not the jump itself, it’s the time you have to wait. On the plane you do not have the feeling of hight at all. Just trust the equipment and...

Such an incredible experience! A definite must-do with Skydive Playa.

There aren’t many places to go skydiving that are as pretty as the beaches of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. After seeing the skydivers landing perfectly on the beach 100s of times, my wife and I decided to book a jump with Skydive Playa.

Freefalling from 10,000 feet is an incredible feeling! The 40 second freefall was by far one of the coolest experiences we’ve ever had. We couldn’t believe how beautiful and blue the beach was. It looked like a Caribbean postcard. We could see all the way to Cozumel. The jump was worth it just for the amazing views. Skydive Playa actually lands directly on the beach! Our tandem jumpmasters were amazing and made sure we felt extremely safe! One of them told us that he had over 18,000 jumps!! (That’s 1 a day for 49 years!)

It’s always a good idea to do some research before you jump out of a plane. So before we jumped, we researched the best companies to skydive with and found Skydive Playa. They’re the best in the area when it comes to safety. Michel, the owner of the company, received his aviation and skydive certifications in the US and employs the best jumpmasters and pilots. Our jumpmasters took care of everything so we only had to focus on having a good time!
