Hotel Leones Puebla — Hotel in Puebla

The location is absolutely perfect. Right in the center of Puebla, a 2 min walk to the Zocalo. Surrounded by good food. Staff and cleaning lady very friendly. The room isn’t huge but it’s all you need. Very modern decor. Bathroom very clean as well with great shower hot water and good pressure. My only problem here was the beds. The other reviews aren’t exaggerating when they say they suck. I’m here with my husband and son, and we all haven’t slept very well, due to the stiff, stiff, and again stiff beds. This hotel has everything going for it, if they would have just invested in more comfortable beds. I really enjoyed my stay besides the not so much sleep we got. The price was very fair for the location. We walked everywhere. I also highly recommend eating the breakfast buffet on the weekends at Saborcitas Fonda Mexicana, regional food, cheap and delicious! Fantastic location, literally 5 min walk to the Zocalo and short walk to all surroundings, shops, restaurants. It’s a bummer they don’t have kitchen for breakfast or even a cup of coffee, croissants in the morning. There are lots of cafes, restaurants around but be aware of the time they open, if you are on schedule to catch a bus or something scheduled early, places don’t open till 8-8:30 for breakfast. Hotel has soap, shampoo, towel , closet , safe box, pretty spacious and cozy rooms, slow elevator as lots of people are going up down but it works perfectly if you have patience and you give enough time to yourself for the slow elevator. |Great stay here! Great location, just a five minute walk to the Zocalo. I had a double room with two full size beds and it would not be exaggeration to say it was ginormous. I have not seen a room as large during my travels in many states throughout Mexico. It was also very clean and has AC. The front desk and housekeeping staff were great. Just a couple callouts: 1) my first room had a dreadful smell emanating from the bathroom but they quickly changed me to another room; and 2) although the second room smelled great, there was now showerhead so it was a high pressure stream but no biggie.
