Yelao — Restaurant in Puebla

We asked the hostess if there was room in the upstairs area and she said that there was none available. We agreed to sit in the downstairs area and when we went upstairs to the restrooms me saw that there were 4+ tables available in the balcony area. We confronted the hostess about this and she changed her story and said that they prefer to fill the downstairs first. We would have completely understood but there was no need to lie to us. She ended up reluctantly moving us to the balcony area but then proceeded to punish us by not bringing our food to us. We ordered one desert and after 30 minutes of waiting I went down stairs to cancel the order since it was taking so long. They said I couldn’t cancel it because the desert was already being made. I offered to pay for the desert on the spot and saw the staff scrambling and heard them say in Spanish that they realized that they never put the order in. Despite this they still didn’t let us leave. After many dirty looks by the staff and hostess we got out desert 15 minutes later and left. The hostess had red hair and claimed her name was Ivanna but we’re not sure if she gave us a fake name either. Great date night/ coffee bar to go to. (Family friendly) Coffee shop is located in a refurbished 3 story home in downtown Puebla all 3 floors are used.

Food is amazing, desserts are well done with the best ingredients. Prices are more than fair. I would recommend making reservations on weekends because it does get packed.

We went there for dessert and have tried so far, Carrot cake, the banana split sampler, Pumpkin creme ice cream and Key lime pie.

Why didn't it get an excellent? Because there's no Splenda or Brown sugar available. Only White sugar and Sweet and low packs. When a place has Orangina and exotic beers in their menu and no sugar alternatives for their caffeinated drinks well it doesn't get an...

Went few times. Food is not expensive. Beer is even cheap. Service is miserable: the waiter forgot my sauce and later i asked for it his colleague, but they finally gave it to me...when I already finished my burger.

There was this sauce in my bill. They wanted to charge me the sauce that was already included in my burger. I don't mention that they gave it to me when I already ate my burger.

I mentioned it and talked all the story to a manager, but nobody say sorry and he was talking with me with absence of smile, the waiter was even rude.

They deleted the sauce from my bill finally but it's late. I will never return...
