I have found this place through Amex Platinum and they were advertising as pet friendly. I had service dog so I thought this place would be wonderful before my dog gets any older pretty much it would be our last trip together because he is getting older: Itās been awhile I have visited Cancun since pandemic so I was pretty thrilled. We got picked up by special private suburban suv with wifi. It took us about 45 mins to arrived.
When we arrived we were greeted with cold wet towels and signature welcome drinks āflamingoā it was pink drink with no alcohol and became our most favorite. (You can add alcohol) They make you sit down during check in service which is very convenient. Place was very grand with beautiful view with ocean breeze, furniture pieces were so artistic I wanted to purchase them all.
SERVICE Pet owners - They do charge $150 so note that. But they do bring your dogs bed; collar and water bowl during stay. Itās a one time welcome fee and including cleaning fee for your dogs. Front desk didnāt explained to me clearly I didnāt know until manager Erick explained that itās an only one time charge so I felt more clear about the fee. They do make you sign three long pages regarding your dog. It states that they donāt let you to take your dogs/ pet to most places. Places you can allow would be stopping at the lobby bar, walking around and beaches anywhere food is around. Which I understand. Workers here pet friendly.
Iām a spa person. This is not a place for party people. I see more older generations who wants to relax and enjoy the nature. They do have sister hotels where you can go and party and explore different foods.
3 restaurants but I enjoyed it. Estero is my favorite over all.
Spa here beautiful, once you book spa services here they will take you to go do dry, steam and water jets to prepare your body before a body service. It was very cool experience. I would say spa price is little too high but they do use high quality products. Such as natura bisse line. During facial they use their vitamin C line. They used lots of products. It might cause irritation if you have sensitive skin, because their product contains high ingredients. I personally had been using Diamond line back home but itās not for everyone. Honest opinion, I personally enjoyed body massage more than facial due to heavy touch. Different from hotel/spa European experience. Again, everyone has different opinions so you can be the judge. Body massage and facial coated about $1000 they do ask you to tip before your service.
I spent some time here and I spoke to few workers they mostly make about $100usd every 15 days -live off tips) - please tip them even a little bit. I know thereās a lot.. but individuals workers such as house keeping.. they clean your room twice a day. I have noticed, morning cleaning happens they open the mirror vanity behind the bed, evening cleaning they close it for you with daily gifts and candy.
Just aware everything is included but spa, Wine tasting $45 per - person, gift shops eemergency meds additional, just little things can be extra charged. Please donāt loose your bracelet. Itās $150. much it would be.
24/7 room service yes! But your butlers - (each room gets two butlers commute by alternating shifts) they are not 24/7. They do have after hour service available by a front desk; or faster service such as room service contact front desk by calling 0 in your room phone.
Just aware not many of them speaks perfect English. Which is fine, but some donāt even understand do opposite instead of what you have asked for. Such as: no salt - they add more salt. Yes alcohol but they donāt put alcohol. So be patient with them just re- order if that cases. They will get it right most of times.
Okay, so Amex travel has to be more details. Not all rooms comes with steam room. You need to go to wellness rooms which is other building to get steam rooms.
This place is like adult Disney. Workers are always greeting saying hola. Iāll try again in the future when I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely amazing, outstanding and impressive experience at LA CASA DE LA PLAYA part of the Hotel Xcaret resort complex. The staff was exceptionally helpful, kind, friendly, greeting us with smiles and at check-in saying "WELCOME HOME". The personal butlers (Special thank you to ours which were Sylvia, David and Mariel) were the greatest of assistance. They oriented us to the property, the parks, took care of meal reservations and "called a Tesla" for us. Yes, the hotel offers free transportation for guests to the other Hotel Xcaret properties, which you will have full access to (Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte), as well as to the local Xcaret parks, which you will have free admission to and which are part of a park system of 12 parks under the Hotel Xcaret/Grupo Xcaret Brand. I could go on and on, but this is luxury to the greatest extent. I was overcome with emotion at the beauty of the hotel, the rooms, the attention to detail and all high end accommodations which are produced in Mexico. All furnishings, decor, personal care products and more Im sure were made by the people of Mexico and from Mexico. There people of Mexico and staff of LA CASA DE LA PLAYA have such pride in their country. It is easy to see why. The GASTRONOMY (restaurants) were 5 star as well. The chefs (award winning) were willing to accommodate & meet guests dietary needs and preferences. I am vegan (plant based) and it was a joy to see each restaurant offered at least one plant based/vegan option. Chef Carlos Breton, the executive chef of CASA DE LA PLAYA, who found us while dining and simply wanted to introduce himself and see how we were enjoying the food and if there was anything else he could do to accommodate us as we identified that we were vegan with our butler upon arrival. Thank you for your kindness, thoughtfulness in that gesture as well as inclusiveness in menu design by including vegan options. A restaurant at La Casa de la Playa named TUCH DE LUNA, next to the stunning infinity pool was a favorite of mine. The chef, America, created for us one of the most delicious plant based meals I have ever had. America is an incredibly creative chef and prepared vegan meals off menu for us which were stunning and delicious. Tuch de Luna then became a favorite restaurant for us. Her presentation was stunning. Thank you to the staff of Tuch de Luna including Amanda (manager), Cynthia and Alejandria. We could not have felt more welcome and so very well cared for. In addition, if you are vegan or plant based, Hotel Xcaret Mexico has a restaurant named BIO which serves the most beautifully presented meals with such incredibly kind staff who would remember our names. BIO is 100% plant based. This was such a joy. If you are plant based, vegan, or plant-curious, even a carnivore, the food is simply outstanding and presentation is magazine cover worthy. Highly recommend. Thank you to Arturo, Xiomara, Jasiel, Cathy, Mauricio and Jose and everyone who were wonderful to us at BIO. I miss my morning smoothie bowls!! The pools and swim up pool bar on the second level were so relaxing and the people including lifeguards and bartenders were dedicated to service, even bringing dry towels when not even asked for, but anticipating, correctly, they would be nice. Sky Bar on the rooftop offered amazing ambiance overlooking the sea, where Carlos the DJ played the best music! The included transportation to and from the Cancun International Airport was greatly appreciated. The hotel, its accommodations, including Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime in the rooms (with your own personal accounts for each) was comforting. A well stocked room with snacks, high end liquor and beer and even a personal salt water aquarium built into the wall with jellyfish which were taken care of by a designated aquarium team. Highly recommend. You will be delighted and this hotel and its staff go far beyond any expectation one could ever have. This is luxury as I have never experienced. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is our 2nd visit to an Xcaret Hotel. We stayed at Arte for New Years and then stayed there again for 9 nights March 12-21. Following that, we stayed 4 nights at La Casa. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service and great food. I debated giving it a 4 star review since thereās a few things they can improve on, but it felt like too low of a rating. I canāt do 4.5 so, I gave the 5. Hereās my snapshot of where I think their strengths and opportunities are.
Strengths;
-Butlers use WhatsApp and are quick to respond.
-The rooms are so well appointed. Very comfortable beds, wonderful layout and lovely patio area. We spent quite a bit of time in the room! The booze and mixes provided in the room is perfect.
-They are accommodating to food requests and scheduling reservations.
-The after sun, sunscreen and soaps in the room were luxurious.
-Lots of closet space and I like the cupboard they have to input the room service dishes.
-The jellyfish in the room are super relaxing to watch at night.
-Having access to Netflix, Disney+ and Prime is great way to unwind at the end of the day.
-Service was exceptional. When my Husband forgot his goggles and they didnāt sell any at the shop, they offered a personal pair! Wow!
-The personal transport and experiences at the park are amazing. It was hard for us to go away from the resort since we felt we wanted to enjoy every moment there. I highly recommend Xplor Fuego since itās an evening park and you wonāt be missing anything at the resort. There isnāt much night life there but thatās not a bad thing for us.
-The chocolate room is amazing.
-So many great places to just relax with wonderful views of the ocean.
Where they can improve-
-starting with this point since itās not really one they can improve, but the beach is quite rocky and they only have a very small space they request you to swim in. Thereās quite a bit of seaweed but they did have staff working all day removing it, so they do whatās in their control with this. If you want a beach vacation though you might want to reconsider this.
⦠since there isnāt much for ocean swimming, you look to the pools. They only really have 2. Sure, with only 64 rooms, itās probably all they need but it gets boring. Especially after being at Arte where you can river swim and they have so many pools to pick from. There arenāt many options to sit and we found the seats were often taken, even though it seemed the hotel was quite quiet. The main pool only had 6 spots for couples. They also allow smoking at the pool, which was quite gross. Other hotels have smoking sections and I would recommend they consider this. It sucked trying to chill out and read a book in a cloud of smoke.
-Although the room service is 24/7, their options are limited compared to Arte. The food is better quality except for breakfast- no potato choices and the bread is rock hard/dry where Arte is fresh baked.
-They didnāt have much for ice cream options, which is very different from Arte. Thatās something I valued there.
*pro tip- you can request to go to Arte and youāre welcome to eat there if you want to check it out
-They do push membership on you a bit. Not too much but enough to be uncomfortable while itās happening. Be prepared for 10x āNosā
-Last but not least (and an issue at all 3 hotels) is sound. Wow itās bad. Bring ear plugs or noise cancelling head phones youāre comfortable sleeping with. I think with it being a mostly cement building, thereās not much they can do now but you can hear everything. Your neighbors walking and talking. We were on the 3rd floor of the fiesta building which is where the rooftop pool is and you can hear the bass pounding in your room. The big suite was above us and between the pool and our room, I canāt imagine how noisy it would have been there. Good luck having a siesta in fiesta.
Overall, it was beautiful and we will definitely be back. I think weāll do a split with Arte for best of...
