Amazingly hidden gem for those who eat food, and an extra treat for those that eat vegan. I say hidden because it's tucked away in the laguna area of the Hotel Xcaret. As part of the all inclusive fare of the restort, it does well by providing excellent service and delicious combination of vegan-tastic food. The pastries don't disappoint, if you want coffee - that's vegan... but then we get into the what else. You can have an items as simple as a shake or detox shot to as complicated as a spinach and black bean mash toast. I am not a vegan, but I found myself continuing to want more. Update: still an amazing restaurant but now there is a breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is super busy and very lively. Lunch has a great menu and a little less people. Dinner is very romantic and far less people. Sergio was our waiter for that service. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is very proud of Bio restaurant and it shows. Vegan restaurant. Dining in a cave at Bio Cocina Vegana offers a truly lovely and unique ambiance.
