Hotel Slovenska Plaža — Hotel in Budva

DON’T. Even Consider it it’s like visiting a 1960’s holiday camp.||We were allocated this disgusting so called Hotel by Jet2 due to the cancellation of our flight from Tivat Airport because of bad weather. After spending approximately 7 hours in the Airport we did consider returning to the our holiday hotel but we were persuaded by theJet2 to accept their offer with assurances that it was a 4 star Hotel. |Whilst the reception looked fairly impressive it soon became evident that it was a holiday complex having an advertised rating of 3.5 star rating , which I would question. The accommodation was housed in rundown scruffy blocks probably built in the 1960’s. The accommodation we were allocated some 3or4 hundred metres away and therefore had to manhandle all our luggage for this distance. When we arrived at the block, as the room was on the 3rd floor, having NO lift we then had to carry our cases up the external concrete stairs |The entrance door to the room looked more like the entrance to a prison cell.|The room did have basic facilities with the exemption of Hot Water and was reasonably clean and tidy. However speaking to other passengers, this was not what they experienced stating that they were faced with dirty and damp bedding, stained towels and black mould in the bathroom. I am aware one couple refused to stay in the room which they were allocated and moved to an alternative at 10.30 pm.|During checkin we were given a card to present at the Restaurant to entitle to Dinner and Breakfast. The so called restaurant was approximately two hundred metres by way of a dark pathway. Whilst there was a fairly large selection of food , I found that so called hot food was only tepid. Our experience the following morning at breakfast was similar. As it was dark when attending the restaurant, (CANTEEN) on the evening we were unaware of the surrounding area towards the beach. The area adjacent was rundown having rubbish, discarded chairs etc, boarded up semi derelict cafes. The whole surroundings need to be demolished and cleared, this should also be extended to the Slovenska Plaza complex .|On the morning of our departure we had to again carry our luggage down the stairs and drag them back to reception which was bit of an ordeal as my partner and I are both 78 years of age.|Based on our experience this is NOT an establishment you should ever consider for a holiday as I can assure you that you will regret it. |JUST DON’T GO THERE ||Whilst this review is addressed specifically about the Slovenska Plaza complex I cannot restrain myself from mentioning JET2 for the lack of respect they have show for us as Indulgent Escape customers. Whilst I would have been satisfied with a lesser standard than the 5star accommodation we had booked for the holiday. |We would have been happy with a proper 4star HOTEL which we were assured of by their...

I really wanted to give this hotel a better rating, but my experiences here are just bad. -Positives: the rooms (atleast mine was) are clean and look modern, the hotel territory is huge and interesting -Negatives: 1) i found a live spider and a hairclump in one meal 2) checkout is at 10:00 (no pool, no food, no drinks after this) 3) (A) the hotel does not feel safe, locals walk through the hotel areas, no way to tell who is a guest and who is not. (B) Random groups of locals hang around on the hotel territory, sometimes drinking and shouting loudly (C) The pool area is for guests only, but whether you're a guest or not, only people who dont speak serbian get checked, sometimes it felt like the pool guard just let in a bunch of non-guests. (D) Rules only apply to people who dont speak serbian. Example: It is forbidden to play ball in the pool, somehow only serbian speaking people play ball in the pool. In conclusion, if you don't speak serbian, you're not wanted at this hotel. Spend your money at another one.

Some more bad things: you can only ask for late checkout the morning of your checkout, for me defeating the purpose of a late checkout. Not one staff member has shown any enthusiasm or good will towards me here. Staff does not speak good english or russian, seems like only serbian. Entertainment is for serbian speaking customers only. The bathroom floor tiles are not angled in the correct way, causing the entire bathroom floor to flood each time you shower. You can not lie down with the poolchairs they have here, only a 45 degree angle. We put out a sign to clean the room, nobody cleaned. We put up 2 signs to not disturb, but someone came in, changed the towels and rearranged the curtains. There is about a 2cm gap under the door to your room, all sounds can be heard both ways. The floor was not clean when we arrived, and today on day 7 it has still not been cleaned. One side of our bed is balanced in the middle, causing a knocking sound to occur every time you change your sleeping position. There are people on mopeds and e-scooters constantly speeding around the hotel territory. The hotel does not have its own beach and the beach nearby is full of trash...

Horrible. I don't know where to start first. We reserved 2 rooms for 4 persons in the 4 stars hotel, the rooms are never been cleaned,when we called the reception to send someone to clean the rooms they said that they'll call someone they never did it.We had to go back 3 times at the reception... For breakfast and diner we are always eating the same thing,nothing new,they are never changing it.When i got to say that we're eating the same thing.. EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!😒 A night it was raining and all the water came through the windows (that were closed)( I put the picture) The guy that works the night as a manager or something,better not talk about him.... When we asked to be paid back the lunch because we saw that we had nothing to eat in the buffet he said "if you're not happy so then go away!" What type of respect is that? He said that he's been working for 37 years ???Are you joking? He went out of the restaurant,took a chair and watched his phone!!! And you are talking about a manager? What is that?!?! One day there were palaćinke (crepes) And i asked if they had Eurocrem (it's like nutella)because i saw that the plate was empty and the guy of the kitchen said wait 2 minutes i'm about to bring one. So i waited him to bring back one and à super kind woman that works there asked me if i wanted a chair because she saw that i was standing,she tought i wanted a table and the guy came and screamed "What are you asking again i said that i was going to get Eurocrem back!!!"I was lost. A woman that was a guest looked at me like "why is he screaming like that?" I've been to many 4 stars and i can say that i never saw a thing like that. Towels are dirty,and the rooms better not talk about them,the ground,people that works there..... Without forgetting the park,that is completely dirty.. I'm very angry because we paid a certain price for these holidays,that we're never going to forget. We travelled about 36 hours, in car,we were happy to see how Montenegro was (and it's beautiful!!!)but not to experience it in that hotel. And of course,it does not deserve 4 stars..... It's for sure the last time i'm coming there,i do absolutely not...
