Service was below average (read below). Food was good, big portions, tasty. They had tables in the sand, my partner enjoyed barefoot in the sand while eating. Near the beach, only a few rows of sun beds were between us and the sea.
The service was under average. We have entered the restaurant's area. When we went through the tables, 3 or 4 waiters were standing next to us, none of them bothered to escort us to a table. We picked a table, waited nearly 10 minutes to get a waiter to get a menu and to pick up our drinks. He wasn't very communicative, he had difficulties speaking English, it was very basic, but that wasn't a problem. In the end when we wanted to pay (by card), he got us the terminal. We got a paper written the total by hand, no receipt, nothing. (But the math added up. So he asked if we want to give extra for service because they don't have service fee in the total. My partner chose not to give any. The waiter asked if was there any problem with the food? We said no, it was perfect. Then why didn't we give him extra? Asked again if the food wasn't good. We said no again. And he started to act like a hysterical, offended kid. Started to say that "why no extra? He works for the service extra" and meanwhile we stood up, got our stuff, he was standing next to us, grimace on his face. Mumbled something when we went away.
What should we give him for? The 10 minutes waiting when they clearly had free capacity? Or the basic question "where are you from?" that gets asked from every tourist or that he did his job? We don't feel like it's our responsibility to finance his wage. If the service was below average, it doesn't...
Read moreI have been to 1000 restaurants around the world and this is by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Customer service = 0. We were tourists who purchased breakfasts/dinners as part of our package. The tourist agency Pilon pre-paid the food at this restaurant. And then the disaster happened. The staff was shouting at me to go and print out the voucher - PRINT OUT: 1. Are we living in the Middle Ages? One doesn’t need to print out the airline boarding pass nowadays! 2. If you need it printed, let the agency know so that they warn us in advance - WHERE do we, tourists, have to look for a print shop? We came for a vocation. Finally on day 3 our agent managed to bring that thing printed and they stopped harassing us (they were, trust me). Also, if you have your meals pre-paid you can’t sit wherever you like - you have to sit in the corner - we were thrown out of the comfortable seatings on the terrace and other tourists as well. What star service is this? If you differentiate between regular and pre-paid customers, kindly DO NOT operate on a pre-paid basis because this is humiliating. The breakfast was THE SAME every day (two eggs) and bread/butter/jam was sometimes served and sometimes not. Dinners are nothing special, waiters ask you ‘meat, fish?’ not letting you know the full menu. The food tastes bad and the staff doesn’t speak politely. I NEVER wanted to order anything extra and pay for it e.g. wine because of EXCEPTIONALLY impolite staff. Absolute disaster. 1 star only because of an amazing guy in charge of the beach, otherwise it...
Read moreWe spend vacation in Budva for 12 years and come here almost every year, but never before met such a rude and indifferent attitude as this August. Obala is the winner as of today. We ordered lunch (when the waiter at last came to our table). He couldn't remember my small order but after several repeats he managed to draft it. We ordered 2 tomato soups and one chicken soup. He brought 2 chicken and one ...some orange substance with rice!!! I pointed him to this mistake, but no sorry or smth like that...just took another chicken and left. Meanwhile I tried my orange substsnce and it was disgusting! Then he brought a new tomato soup and it looked absolutely different from those I just tried...I asked if he can see the difference - he seemed does not understand))). So nothing left I went to the kitchen to see the genious cook...I showed my soup to some guy and said that's not tomato soup. He was just surprised may be that I came, took my plate and...nothing more, no sorry again... This was my last meal in this place (previouse years meals were more tasty and as for attitude - no more...
