Day 1 - I asked for an iron and ironing board. I was told by the reception staff that it was a 5 star hotel so they don't supply these items as they offer a laundry service you have to pay for. This is the first time I have been to a 5-star hotel that doesn't supply you with an iron.|Spending my money on ironing is not something I want to do with my holiday spending money. The items I did need ironing were just left in the bathroom with the shower on hot, to steam out the creases. |The bathroom products were not 5 star. The towels were small bath towels||The breakfast certainly wasn't 5 star. Some of the choices were chicken wings, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Chicken hot dogs that looked like the most processed food item I have ever seen. The pastries were mediocre only 2 to choose from, the cake selection didn't look great. Fruit was fine. |Tea and coffee were from a machine. I have never been to a 5 star hotel were the staff didn’t serve you your tea and coffee at breakfast. The staff were slow in collecting your used plates and cutlery and the 2 times we were at breakfast at 8am there was no staff at all until about 9am. |Once the spoons at the tea point ran out they didn't seem to be replaced.|A few days into our holiday the peppermint tea had run out. So I asked if they had more the waitresses proceeded to get a full box from the stock cupboard under the tea point. So they weren't even checking on the supplies for the guests.|Location - was perfect for the old town 5-minute walk however the area at the back of the hotel that faces the beach is very run down. So not a great view. This is where you have your breakfast. |Sun loungers - about 98% of the sun loungers had a rip in them making them slightly uncomfortable to lie on as your body dipped in the centre. |The hotel was very clean and modern so looked like a 5-star hotel but certainly didn't feel like I was on a 5...
Read moreFor a five star hotel it was a disappointment. There is a continental breakfast which is included in the price of the room but the breakfast lacks anything that has real quality. Poor quality meats and very limited variety of cheeses. Omlettes and crepes have no flavor to them. Also waiters are extremely rude and never smiling or saying hello. Coffee and tea were also low quality and did not meet the criteria of a five star hotel. The biggest disappointment is that the room has no closet and the beds are extremely uncomfortable , it’s been 4 days and I am still struggling with the backache caused by the bed in the hotel, also we reserved a double room but we were given a room with two single beds with no connection to merge them. I would also not recommend this hotel to anyone because not even a glass of water is complimentary in the rooms and after we checked out of the hotel the concierge lady chased us out in the streets asking for the money of the bottle of water we drank from the room , what kind of 5 star hotel charges 3.5 euros for 0.33 ml of water and the fact that the cleaning ladies immediately reported this to the concierge is disturbing. Also do not expect a nice beach nearby, the good beach Mogren is about 15 minutes walking distance. Best part about this hotel is that there is a good casino...
Read moreI stayed at the hotel for three nights together with a group of bereaved mothers. During our stay, the journey’s doctor came into my room, sat on a chair – and the chair suddenly collapsed and broke completely. We called room service, the chair was taken away – and nothing was said to us.
At checkout, the hotel manager demanded an outrageous payment of 330 euros for “repairing the chair.” When we tried to explain that the chair had suddenly broken without any fault on our part – the manager shouted, declared he “did not believe us,” threatened to call the police, and even threatened to lock the hotel gates so we could not leave until we paid.
We were forced to pay the amount out of fear and intimidation. This was abusive, threatening, and humiliating behavior – an experience of extortion and fear.
Clear conclusion: Stay away from this hotel! There are plenty of places that respect their guests – here we found only threats, abuse,...
