Fish Grill — Restaurant in Budva

This place is truely a gem! If you want to eat fresh and delicious fish in Budva, you shouldn’t miss this restaurant. This is a family business which runs by a father,wife and their son. It’s open kitchen so you can see everything while they’re preparing and cooking. There are a couple of tables outside, but you can have a take-away which I preferred the latter. So I ordered around 300 grams of shrimp, 300 gr squid, 300 gr octopus and 400 grams of seabass. I paid €50 total and it was well worth it. I took it to my apartment and made some salad aside. We came late evening 2 hours before closing and they had nothing left except prawns and a few fishes. So we left and returned the next day around opening time.

After making our choices, we were told there was a minimum order of 300g per type, so mixing was not possible. This was not ideal for me as I wanted to try out different things but could not finish e.g 900 grams of food.

In the end we went for the grilled prawns and octopus which tasted great; the potatoes on the other hand was rather average. Price wise, it is definitely cheaper than in the city center, however the place only has 4 small tables outside by the street and the surrounding atmosphere...

1. They only take cash so be prepared
2. They list prices in 100gr, then say minimum you can get is 200g, but then they don’t even let you get 200g, they have packaged the things up (for example, octopus) and they sell you the whole pack.
3. You can only get whole fish - whatever it weighs (fair enough). All in all the smallest seafood you can eat is €13-18, depending on what you pick. So be prepared.
4. In hot weather they have 5 tables, only 2 of which is under shade.
5. And it’s all self service. So no service.
