We (myself, partner & our 3 kids with additional needs) spent a winter weekend at Caribbean Village Club Agadir in December 2024 and were pleasantly surprised by how lively and welcoming it felt, even in the off-season. It felt like being at a European resort - but without the kind of staff who approach you to tell you about the events to come for the rest of the day or give you directions. We felt quite like we were on the outside of a group of people who were all having a great time. The atmosphere can be really bouncy and happy, especially in the evenings when music is played around the pool.

The rooms were simple but as clean as a cleaner could make them... and the beds are comfortable. The overall staye of the room wasn't great - picture water flooding out of the shower because it doesn't drain properly. Agadir is sandy and the resort is no exception- so sand drags in on your feet but you can't get clean from it because the shower floods and your feet bathe in filthy water. This then spashes out onto the floor and floor mat, which also become filthy. We had a ground floor room - thanks to staff who noticed we had 3 kids and a double pushchair so they moved us from the one they originally assigned us. We had glass doors that opened to a cute little garden... but we made the mistake of walking across it after swimming and getting sharpy or thorny branches stuck into our feet. We worked out they seemed to be cut from the trees but just left on the grass after.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially at reception and in the restaurant. Food was a good mix of Moroccan and international dishes – lots of fresh bread, salads, fruit etc, and always something even the kids would eat.

The pool area was the biggest disappointment. We picked the hotel because it boasted a heated pool - we couldn't find any kind of resort map to indicate where this was but figured eventually that it must be the one pool that they had a jackhammer at at the time and therefore it was out of use. We heard rumours of a kids pool - again, no directions anywhere so we just walked around until we fohnd it. OMG - filthy. I feel like that word loses emphasis because I have used it already... but the entire area was disgusting. The pool and water were grimey but the biggest shock was the state of the pool loungers. They were soaked with water and mud and were squealching it out and leaving dirty muddy marks on anything they touched. I couldn't stand staying there because it made my skin crawl so we went back to the bigger, main pool. Here, the water was understandably a bit chilly in December. The tiles in the pool were also dirty but it seemed to be mud or sand and I could make sense of that in my head. But the pool floats they had were covered in filth - it honestly made me feel so sick. A coating of it was all over the floats.

We did enjoy how close the hotel was to the beach – just a short walk away for sea air and sunset views. This is a big of a maze if you decide to walk through the resort and out the back. You will walk through what seems to be a different hotels reception to get out.

It’s not a luxury resort, I feel like calling it a resort at all is a stretch and gives the wrong impression of what this place actually is. It is a very budget accommodation with a resort-style layout. It lacks the overall service and cleanliness of a resort and isn't upfront in communicating when things are closed or even where things are. You have to figure a lot out for yourself, and honestly to me that is the opposite of a resort holiday because it becomes hard work instead of relaxing.

I wanted to also mention one big issue we found for our personal situation here: at the kids pool and park area there were dirty paper plates left on the ground. Two members of staff man the area and are literally just sat down waiting for people to arrive, but they don't touch the rubbish just lying on the floor. Our daughter had just been diagnosed eith a cow milk allergy and grabbed a plate on the way past which looked to have...

I stayed here for a week, I booked through love holidays. I have been here about 20 years ago when I was a child and it hasn't changed at all in all of those years, apart from it was 4* back then and now a 3*. The rooms are very basic and outdated. Bed are not comfortable to sleep on. Toilets don't flush properly and the shower pressure is terrible! I have thick hair and it barely got my whole head of hair wet, so I went the whole week without being able to wash my hair! People staying here don't try and be quiet at night. We were woken a lot from doors boombing closed and people speaking loudly. Person above me was bouncing a ball at 5am most mornings.. TV on loud during the night too. We also saw a cockroach walking around the hotel during the night - gross!! The reception area was dark and there is a smoking area inside the building, so basically it just stinks of smoke the whole time. It's a family friendly hotel, yet people are allowed to smoke anywhere, so no matter where you are, in the pool, at the bar or by the activity courts, people are smoking. It would be better if they had designated smoking areas, so that non smokers can enjoy the air. The swimming pools were okay, the lifeguard was very strict in the deeper pool and wouldn't allow our kids to swim around the pool unless they were literally an arms width away! Yet all of our children are strong swimmers and were never in the pool alone anyway. The pool also stained all of our swimming costumes a green colour. We had taken several each and they are now all a greenish colour, so I'd advise not bringing new costumes with you! Also every day there were towels left on sun loungers, so people had claimed them all by the time you want to go in the pool. Many times we went down to the pool and there were no sun loungers available. But people also had a few of them "reserved" and there would be bags and towels spread across a few whilst only one person sat and watched. I personally think it would be a better idea if everyone had a sun lounger available to use. Like have the room numbers on the sun loungers, then people can learn to share then. The activities at the hotel appear to be pretty much non existent. I didn't see anywhere that there would be events at certain times, except in the main reception there was a wall that said what time breakfast, lunch and dinner were. And also when the disco would be on in the evenings. There was a show one evening, which we had no idea about until there were chairs all set up everywhere. We had to ask three bar staff to then find out a kids show was going to be on that night. Didn't start until 10pm, so that was disappointing. There was a kids club there that always seemed to be dead. Never saw anyone there. There were tennis courts, volleyball court, table tennis and football courts. No idea where you were supposed to get any rackets etc from, as there didn't appear to be a place to find out this information. The hotel is about a five minute walk to the beach, so we ended up spending the last few days at the beach everyday. Breakfast and lunch were the same things every day. It did get a bit boring. Dinner was the same thing every evening apart from two evenings were different. The puddings were the same every night. They were some dried pastry thing, not good. There was a snack bar but you couldn't just go in when it was open to get a snack! You had to book in the morning, to then use it in the afternoon. There were also two other restaurants within the hotel. One moroccan and one pizza. Both you had to book in the morning a reservation. You could only go here once on your holiday. Definitely go to both as that was the best food I'd eaten all week! The bar was good, you could get drinks pretty much whenever you wanted. They had a good variety for kids, there were your common bar drinks for adults. Their wine was disgusting, but if you like vinegar flavour you're in luck! I would not recommend this hotel nor would I be returning. I enjoyed exploring Agadir, so would come back but definitely not...

Quite a well spread out Co plex. Our room was top floor of the building we were in, no lift and 48 steps from ground floor to our room with no lift. Room was OK, with a balcony overlooking waste ground. Lovely view from the front door though. Room had separate toilet, with bidet with sink and shower a couple of steps away. There was supposed to be shower gel available but wall container was empty or not working. I did ask Fatima who cleaned our room for some more and she did come back to the room, but it still appeared empty. There were 3 of us and all light switches were above beds. The switches above the putup bed didn't work, but light in that part of the room wasn't really needed. There was one wardrobe and there were also 3 shelves between shower room and toilet. 2 wooden chairs in the room and table and 2 chairs on the balcony. There are 3 average size pools and one main pool with a good size kids pool next to it. The main pool was divided in to 2 with a rope. This was because the bigger area of the pool was 4 metres deep and children had to be supervised. There were steps into the pool which were a lititle narrow, and there was a short steep slope into the main part of the smaller section of the main pool. The metal ladders in and out had quite a big gap from top step to poolside. Lifeguard was on duty and kept a close eye on the pool. Pool bar opened at 10.30hrs with 2 bars. One was for soft dri ks and hot drinks and the other for alcohol. Beer was OK as was the gin. There was a swim up bar but this was never open. Animation team put on quite a few activities around the pool including aqua aerobics and water polo. There was a kids club but we didn't use this. Food was OK, nothing special. Bowls for cereal at breakfast were always scarce, but plenty of pancakes and queue for eggs was always a long one. Butter for bread only seemed available at breakfast. Main restaurant had plenty of tables and covers a large area. For those that like desserts, there was yoghurt and fruit. Sweet desserts were scarce. One tray of each brought out, eventually replaced after long waits. I waited for one dessert no idea what it was, to watch some people in front of me, piling their plates. I waited about another 10 minutes as tray had been taken away, but gave up with no sign of dessert appearing. No Ice cream in the restaurant but was sold outside along with crepes. Didn't have icecream but the crepe with Nutella was worth the £1. There were 2 other restaurants, Moroccan and pizza, even though the map we were gi en of the grounds said there were 5. These have to be booked in advance. Towels can be hired for £10, using Morrocan currency or sterling. You get your money back if you take your towels back, although this has to between 10.00-12.00hrs. Toilets could be better. The ones in the main restaurant should be used only if desperate. The ones by the pool were a bit better. WiFi was only available in the reception area and by the main pool. Could be a bit hit and miss. Not to be relied on. There are some permanent shops selling clothing, jewellery and trinkets. There are also up to 3 stalls outside the restaurant. The men can be very persistent, especially if you have ought from them before. Bartering is definitely needed. Cappuccino is around to give camel rides. We paid £10, but again, barter, as we were first asked for £20. Friendly camel, seemed to be well cared for. We didn't do any trips as only there for 4 nights and our granddaughter was in the pool or sea all day. Currency can be exchanged in the hotel but I was told best rates were in the exchange just outside the hotel. Beach is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, with the hotel having an area roped off for guests. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available. Plenty of hawkers on the beach but did take no for an answer. Lifeguards on the beach. Sea was lovely, plenty of waves. If you just want t a walk there is a promenade. For the price we paid, the hotel was as expected. Don't think we will...

We stayed here for one week with our family and had the all-inclusive package. It’s a large, lively resort with lots of energy and a focus on families and fun-seeking guests rather than couples looking for peace and romance. Personally, I wouldn’t choose it for a honeymoon, but for an affordable, activity-filled holiday, it can be a reasonable option. The resort is vibrant — several pools, plenty of organized activities, and friendly staff everywhere. The pool bar right next to the main pool is great for drinks by the pool. The staff are polite, cheerful, and hardworking, though their English skills can be limited. Our local housekeeper was exceptionally friendly and kind — she really earned the tip we gave her when leaving. With our all-inclusive plan, we could visit each of the three à la carte restaurants once (if we understood correctly). We tried the Moroccan restaurant and the pizzeria; both were nice experiences, but the Moroccan one was especially good — highly recommended. The main buffet restaurant, Oasis, offered plenty of variety, though the food itself was a bit bland to my taste. There’s also a funny little quirk at Oasis: the waiters compete to clear your plates as soon as you finish, often taking your cutlery too, which can lead to a small hunt for new forks and knives since they’re not already set on the tables. The lobby area is spacious with lots of seats and tables, a billiard table, and its own drink counter. There are a few small souvenir booths within the hotel grounds — convenient if you want quick access to gifts, but for better prices and selection, visiting the Souk El Had market is worth it. A tip for food: if the daily buffet doesn’t inspire you, the Snack Lagador right outside the hotel is a nice alternative for something simple and tasty. On the downside, much of the furniture and decor feels dated, and surfaces and floors could be cleaner. The lightweight chairs used around the lobby and restaurants tend to wobble or fall easily. Shower pressure was inconsistent and sometimes only cold, leaving water splashing in every direction and the bathroom floor soaked afterward. Wi-Fi worked poorly almost everywhere except in the reception area. Our room had very few power outlets, most of them old and loose. The beds and pillows were quite hard, and noise from nearby areas carried easily into the room. The hotel layout is also a bit confusing, so it takes some time to get your bearings. We also went to the hotel spa once for the sauna, but that experience was enough — we didn’t go back. Despite these drawbacks, there are many hardworking employees who do their best to create a nice atmosphere. For the price, Caribbean Village Club Agador can still be a solid choice if you value liveliness, activities, and affordability over modern comfort and quiet relaxation.

This resort was certainly an interesting place to stay. Check in went smoothly but then things got a little awkward as the porter walked me to the room, insisted on carrying my tiny backpack, and then waited for a tip. I unfortunately hadn't had a chance to get cash out yet so had nothing to offer and it was embarassing for both of us - make sure you have a tip prepared! Meals are served at strict times of the day and no food is offered outside these hours. You would think they would have something available for guests arriving late night (especially as they know what time flights land and that some are after the dinner hours) but no, there was nothing on arrival. I had ten minutes to dash to the local shop and buy some Pringles before they shut. Drinks are available at the bar until late - although the 'bars' are just soft drinks and alcohol poured into plastic cups, nothing fancy. There is no WiFi in the rooms, only in reception and at the pool, so be prepared for that. I had double doors from my room leading to a little 'balcony' area but on the ground floor where there was a table and chairs. This was nice but the doors did not close properly, so it did not feel very secure at night as they would sometimes blow open a bit and someone walking past could have entered my room. The buffet was very hit and miss. Some things were very good like the stewed pork and the fried fish which were delicious. The attempt at macaroni cheese though went hard very quickly and would leave you with crunchy pasta on your plate. I also saw multiple times the staff returning bread from the tables to the buffet (even after pieces had been taken and eaten) so the hygiene was questionable. If you arrived in the last half hour of the buffet times the selection was rather poor as well. The staff overall were very friendly and helpful. They printed my boarding pass so I could avoid Ryanair's outrageous fees. There are merchant sellers inside the resort who you learn to smile politely but avoid, otherwise they will drag you into their shop and sell you something. There are also cats everywhere that are very friendly! Overall, it was a nice stay but the quality was not amazing.
