Read moreWe really liked the Moroccan food here. Nice ambience, and great table service. However they charge premium prices that the service from their management doesn't justify
On the evening we went, having checked first that the restaurant takes credit cards, they informed us (and other tables) when we went to pay, that they couldn't take credit cards because their machine was broken. They suggested that we go to a local cash machine (where the exchange rate is crap and they charge a fee to withdraw cash). It took some persuasion to get them to accept the cash we had on us, our hotel address, and to let us return the next day to settle by card. We sent them an email that evening with our contact details and offering to pay the full amount by card or to settle the balance in cash for a 10% discount. No response the following day. So we returned to the restaurant the next day and made the same offer. The staff made some calls and told us they didn't have authority to agree to either - they insisted that we should return again in the evening when the manager would be present. When we did, they chose to let us settle the full amount by card.
We didn't ask for, nor were we offered any compensation for the inconvenience of having to return to the restaurant twice. To future visitors, I simply suggest: be prepared - their problem may...
Read moreFrom the moment we sat down it went downhill real fast. It seems the staff have no time or patience to explain their menu and once you do finally manage to order it takes almost an hour for it to be served to you.
Staff aren’t shy to demonstrate their frustration at the slightest inconvenience. I’ve been shown better mannerisms from the dogs roaming the streets. Our drink had a hair in it, naturally we asked for it to be changed but were met with sarky comments. If my wife wasn’t with me I’d Muay Thai kick him in the face.
Another dopey waiter didn’t understand anything we said. He would listen attentively and go fetch another dopey waiter. Decor and overall vibe of the restaurant is nice but staff really let it down, tbh we only went because of the reviews and then we quickly realised most of them are fake and the ones that are bad or remotely negative, the restaurant removes.
AVOID...
