Catfish Hotel. They say you get what you pay for but what we received was far from what we were sold. The room we slept in for a week was ok at best, however, the bathroom was shocking. The continuous smell of intense diarrhoea from the shower drain would frequently envelope the little oxygen we had in our room, causing nausea. If that was not enough, one night we encountered an inner hotel rainstorm. At roughly half an hour after midnight, our bathroom began to leak from the ceiling (from the room above). This woke me up to a river of water in our bathroom. I went to notify the reception but the member of staff seemed uninterested. I piled my own towels on to the floor to try and save my room. If this was not enough, the sink looked as if it was caulked by a child (with loads of cracks), the water from the sink would always end up creating a pool on the floor and the tap was too far from the faucet- making it hard to even wash your face. As soon as you’d finish your shower, you would realise that the water has leaked out of the make shift plastic shower door and has created another pool of water. This also made it hard to use the toilet as your slippers would be covered in dirty toilet floor water. This is just the surface, not to mention the two single beds pushed together to look like a ‘double bed’ which would move apart during the night (due to the wheels on the beds), causing a big...
Read moreI stayed here for 4 nights last week Once I arrived at the hotel I was told to pay 60 dh tax I handed over the receptionist 100 dh I did not receive my 40 dh change back from her I should not have to ask for my money back which I’m owed ! She told me that they upgraded my room to a better room this however to my opinion felt like a lie Ive then proceeded to go to my room once I’ve walked inside I’ve noticed the shower was so small and the doors of the shower were practically coming apart The view if I ever had a view was just staring at a concrete wall I’ve turned on the air conditioning and after every 5 minutes of it being on there was an irritating sound getting louder and louder coming from it The bed was reasonably comfortable The duvets which were inside the closet smelt like they had not been washed and had a woman’s hair on it Every night I spent there trying to sleep I could hear the banging off doors locking and unlocking like I was inside off a prison I could also hear from my room every-time someone pressed the elevator and the sound off the elevator going up and down It was very annoying I’m paying money to sleep comfortably and without all this noise Other than all these complaints I have i personally wouldn’t be coming back to ever spend a night at this hotel Everyone has there own different experiences and this was mine I hope they can improve for others...
Read moreReally bad experience. Although I booked for 7 nights, I needed to leave after 3 nights. Why? Because the noise of door slamming made me develop PTSD. The cleaning ladies don't pay attention to being quiet either.
The problem of this hotel is that the neighbour rooms are too close each other and there's no isolation on the doors. I stayed at the 3rd floor and I could hear the noise from the 2nd floor. Not to mention so stressful noise when the next-door guests would open their door (0.5 meters from my doors). Awful and nerve-wrecking experience.
Also, shower doors were in very poor state.
However, I have to mention that stuff working there was very polite.
Anyway, if you want to have proper rest, don't go...
