I recently stayed at Hotel Astoria, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the key issues I encountered:
Cleanliness: The room was not clean. There were visible stains on the carpet and bed linens, and the bathroom had mold in the corners. Housekeeping seemed to be minimal or non-existent.
Staff Attitude: The staff were unhelpful and sometimes downright rude. When I brought up concerns about the cleanliness, they were dismissive and did not offer any solutions or apologies.
Amenities: Many of the advertised amenities were either unavailable or in poor condition. The pool was closed for maintenance without prior notice, and the gym equipment was broken and outdated.
Noise Levels: The hotel was incredibly noisy. The walls were thin, and I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. This made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Location: The hotel's location was misleading. It was far from the main attractions and in a rather unsafe neighborhood. Public transport options were limited, making it inconvenient to get around.
