My wife and I recently traveled to Casablanca and stayed one night before heading down to Marrakech and just happened to ask the taxi driver about local hotels and he recommended East West. The location is good and we were able to walk around very safely with easy access to the shops and train stations. ||||We were happy to meet Noura and Khalid, the owners, and they couldn't have been more professional and accommodating. They both went out of their way to ensure our stay was a comfortable and pleasant as possible. They invited us to the wonderful Irish Pub which is on the property and entertained my wife and I, as well as the many other patrons into the early hours! ||||We will definitely go back and stay there as well as recommend this property highly. Thanks again Noura and Khalid and please remember to contact us when you come visit the states!...
Read moreThe hotel was recommended by the the taxi driver. It is indeed an old hotel in a quiet area of Casablanca. I like the Irish Pub and the restaurant area where an already prepared breakfast is served. My room was too small, the bathroom is a catastrophe , I couldn't use the shower since the entrance is too small for me to get it. The paint on room walls are coming off. The TV channels mostly German and French not much of a choice. As a Muslim I need to wash after using the toilet for prayers, it had no such a thing. There is no complementary water bottle for the guests. I asked for water and said we don't have water bottles and I had to go to the supermarket to get it. My brother was talking on the mobile to his family and could hear what he was telling them. The owner needs to do alot to improve this uniquely strategic...
Read moreIt seems there were only three guests in the hotel, including myself. The building is old. Definitely ratio "price/quality" is very law. One positive point is location (far from Mosques, spreading loud sounds in morning). This is quiet place and you can sleep very well. Do not forget to take electrical adapter, because the electrical sockets (plugs) are "receptacles french style Type E ". It was very uncomfortable. Management must do renovation ASAP.I am not a person, who is looking for deficiencies, but even myself could not close eyes on peeled paint in the bathroom. The price of the room should be not more than 20% of current. In this case proverb "You get what you pay"...
