Nightmare experience of my life!!! Got bitten 26 times by BED BUGS!! I found 6 bed bugs! A disgrace on hospitality how this hotel and on duty manager Nadia Jabrane handle the situation. We stayed in room 303 for two nights before our flight back to NY. Traveling with Gate 1 Travel tour group. The first night I was bitten 11 times and woke up in the middle of the night with bites all over my arms, legs and ankle. I thought maybe it was mosquitoes in the room. I looked around the room trying to find the mosquitoes but couldn’t find any. Now I’m wide awake itchy all over and couldn’t go back to sleep. The second night I made sure to cover my body, arms and leg under the blanket so I don’t get bitten again. Once again I was woken up itchy everywhere and covered in bites under the blanket; even under my pajamas! I went to the bathroom and saw a bed bug fell off my pajamas!!! I was horrified! I tried to kill the bed bug by stepping on it but it didn’t die! Still horrified I manage to pick up the bed bug with tissue and woke my friend up and told her that I was attacked by bedbugs! I look to my side of the bed and realize there were 2 large bed bugs just crawling around my blanket! I SCREAMEFD! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! We went to the front desk to complain. Our tour leader just so happens to be there and we showed him and the front desk agent the bed bugs in the tissue that was still ALIVE. They manage to kill it and it popped filled with my blood!!! The front office manager Mohamed Chakib came to our room. When we got back to the room in front of the front office manager and our tour leader we saw another large bed bug crawling across my friend’s bed!!! We demanded that our cloth to be laundered ASAP so that we don’t bring the bed bugs home! This was 6am! The manager apologies and left our room and sent up a house keeper to give us laundry bags. We packed up all our stuff then was told that there was no time and the hotel couldn’t do our laundry. Our flight doesn’t depart until 2pm! We had plenty of time! Now we’re ANGRY! We demanded that the hotel should reimburse our cleaning cost after we have our clothing properly cleaned by professionals. That’s the least they can do! Around 8:30am the on duty manager Nadia Jabrane told us that apparently this hotel have a HUGE bed bug problem. She admits that they have a special company that comes in every month to spray the rooms and its very common and not a big deal. She offered us that we should leave behind ALL of our suit cases so it can be properly cleaned and she’ll mail it back to us after. That is unacceptable because the hotel still have time to clean our cloth before our flight and I have no faith in this hotel to leave behind my valuable suit cases to have it cleaned and sent back. I rather have it cleaned properly in the states. Nadia said the procedure is that she’ll give me a report of this incident and we’ll send in our cleaning bills later but it’s not a guarantee that it would be paid for because she can not make the call since the general manager is not there and that she’s only the on duty manager and she couldn’t make the decision. So I ask her to reach out to the General Manager. We waited until 10am for the report from the hotel. Nadia was nowhere to be found. My tour leader tried reaching her on her cell, her house number and office extension. She seems to be hiding afraid to talk to me. She just didn’t bother to even let me know. This is what kind of hospitable service Novetel offers! DISGRACE & DISPICABLE! Nadia knew that I have to leave for my flight at 10am with my tour group. Read moreThis is the third hotel after I had a bad experience at another Accor property, I deliberately paid more to hope for better service. when checking in I asked, with all due respect whether you can honor my reservation with a complimentary breakfast or not. ps I know Accor doesn't give free breakfast no matter how high your status is and this is my biggest mistake booking at Accor because Accor is the worst hotel program I've had, compared to the Marriot and Hilton programs. the staff said, he would ask his superior because he had no rights, I said if possible please inform immediately. Just so you know, to get platinum status we have to stay at least 60 days, and this is how they serve guests?? Until 10 o'clock after breakfast was finished, the staff who promised to ask superiors until now still don't give news, stay at the hotel and I have to pay around Euro 160 feels very nothing with bad service given, is it difficult to ask the superior directly or ask another superior on duty, if Accor is really too stingy to be loyal to his guests, just say from the start that you don't want to honor free breakfast for me and that's all done I can ask to cancel and find a hotel with a loyalty program that is much more humane for his loyal customers, oh yeah and also the cleaning staff came into my room twice without knocking, or maybe knocked once and immediately opened it without waiting for 3x and where did you call it from but this went straight into the room, I was barely dressed, really very surprised, especially when someone entered female and I male. really accor 4 star service with a room for 160 euros like this?? I understand what is the standard of Novotel and I didn't expected much. But I sp0ent many nights in many Novotels in the world and never saw something similar. It has good location and I have to say very kind people as staff. But they cannot change this dirty ruin into something what tries to be 4 stars hotel. Dirty, poor in any amenities, no bathrobe, no slippers, microscopic shower gel for two, dirty carpet (i mage few steps in white socks and they were black) shower was fixed cheapest way (some silicon by finger, didn't even matching the colour), design... well what design? I didn't see so bad breakfast since ages in any hotel. Instead of juice they give you some sort of blend of fruits with water (sieve it at least) at 9 disgusting, dry scrambled eggs were almost gone and everyone gave you impression that they only wait for 10 so they can close. Choice was poorest from the poor. If not some yogurts and fruits and pretty nice cake - it would be difficult to eat anything at all. And those surroundings - if you read this - could you remove those spiderwebs from decor just above tea/coffee area? Tables are covered with some sort of oilcloths. I believe it was trendy or consider artistic decades ago. One machine for coffee didn't work, other half-broken served only coffees without milk. I am really sorry but Moroccans are especially sensitive when you point that some things aren't as in Europe. Then please give me reason to think that I am not right. This place should be closed and completely renovated before let people go inside. And all this in "Superior" room, I cannot even imagine how standard room looks like.
