I am not a picky traveler by any means, all I really care about is a clean room, decent breakfast, and air conditioning. However, this hotel was frankly disgusting. We checked in and noticed there were no towels in our room so we requested some and were even willing to go downstairs to grab them. We were told they’d be brought up in an hour so we decided to go to the beach and out for dinner in the meantime. When we came back five hours later the towels still weren’t delivered so we requested them again. The towels were brought up 30 minutes later and we immediately found make up stains all over them. Our bedding also had stains on it. We soon realized our air conditioning also wasn’t working so I called the front desk. Ten minutes later someone came to check it out, pressed a few buttons, and said it should work but will take time to cool the room down. The air didn’t work at all through out the night, and when we spoke with reception the following morning regarding a possible discount due to the fact that we were unable to sleep in our hot and humid room, they told us unfortunately nothing could be done because our card had already been charged upon check in. Breakfast was also disappointing. The food looked like it had been left out for days and the goat cheese tasted like it had expired. The bread was also stale so I decided to go with cereal assuming it was a safe choice. The cereal was extremely stale and very difficult to eat. I will say that the scrambled eggs and fresh oranges were delicious, however, the edible options stopped there. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience for a hotel that looks so beautiful from...

I booked a room with sea view for me and my family for 5 nights. At first glance the hotel appears very nice and prestige. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the view is amazing. The breakfast is average with a range of hot and cold items to choose from. I noticed that when items for breakfast run out they are not replenished which was poor. I had to ask on a couple of occasions for simple things like tea bags and mint tea which was cold on one of the days. The customer service is poor from some staff. We ordered a mint tea to our room and it took an hour to show up. My wife called for a kids meal to be sent to our room and she asked how many chicken nuggets come with the meal, the person in the kitchen said they didn't know which was bizarre when my wife pushed them for an answer they just ignored us. There is a girl who works at reception in the day time and she is always on her phone and doesn't acknowledge us which I found rude. We went to the swimming pool and should have been given towels for the sun loungers, instead the tourists were given them straight away but we were ignored until the cleaner asked if we wanted them which was nice of her. The fridges don't work in the rooms so all the drinks and snacks were warm, when I asked the reception they said that all the fridges are not working which was very strange. The security guards, cleaners and the night time reception were very good and helpful. I wouldn't stay here again but it is affordable and clean which was the important part. The staff need to provide a service with a smile and be more helpful that's why I'm giving this...

Be careful, robbery!

We stayed there 3 nights, when we arrived, at 6pm, it took 40 mins to get into the room, and when they eventually found the booking made through a broker, they told us that the breakfast was included.

When we got inside the room, the ground had not been cleaned, it was extremely dusty, we had tout ask somebody to come and clean it.

Then we booked a spa "hammam couple offer" and a hand-manicure for my wife, which was supposed to be 10% discount for the clients of the hotel.

We took only one breakfast, because we were sick the 2nd day and we were leaving at 3am the 3rd night.

But when we checked out 3 days later, surprise surprise...

Breakfast was 100 Dh/person

(although we were told clearly that it was included... and the broker's receipt didn't mention breakfast or not)

they had charged us for 2 days of breakfast although we took only one breakfast

we had only 5% discount (instead of the promised 10%) for the Hamman.

we had NO DISCOUNT AT ALL for the manicure!!!

If you add that we were obliged to disconnect the Air Conditioned in the room because it was broken and impossible to set up at a human temperature, you get a picture of our stay.

There are so many small, beautiful and honest hotels with much better service in Tanger, don't waste your money in such a...

If you stay here after being in a hostel, it’s fine. If you stay here expecting any of the advertised inclusions, you will be sorely disappointed. The aircon is set to heating because “it’s not summer yet” so they won’t switch it to cool despite being 30 Celsius. No available fan as an alternative for even air flow in our stiflingly hot room which cops heat from the direct sun. Mini fridge is broken, asked if it could be fixed or swapped out and was told sure, only to then ask for update a few hours later to be told actually all of the fridges in the hotel are broken. So no air, and no cold water. No towels on day of check in, so couldn’t shower until the evening. Never changed our towels but took my dirty one on day 3 and didn’t replace it. ‘Spa’ is in the title of the establishment but the spa is closed. There has been a literal chicken bone in the pool for 3 days. I understand things happen and have been accepting of the situation, but there have been 3 different people my group has spoken with and 3 different answers none of which include trying to help us resolve any of the issues. See attached: things this hotel does not have.

The Fredj Hotel & Spa is a 4-star hotel in Tangier, Morocco with full spa services that opened in August 2017. The downtown location is 42 Rue de Hollande, where the former Dawliz Hotel used to be until it closed about four years ago. After it was sold, the hotel building was expanded and upgraded. Fredj Hotel & Spa is directly across the street from the historic Grand Hotel Villa de France. Fredj Hotel & Spa has large rooms and suites, all with comfortable beds, great bathrooms with lots of hot water, and air-conditioning. In addition, the hotel has two restaurants and upstairs there is a quiet cafe and restaurant with a spacious wraparound terrace that has incredible panoramic views of the port, the crescent-shaped beach, the marina, Tarifa, Spain and the mountains of Andalucia in the distance. No alcohol is served in the restaurant. The female receptionist at the Fredj spoke excellent English when I first visited the place. Prices in high season are about 1,600 Dirhams per night for a double (approximately $165), but the prices are lower during the off-season.
