The absolute worst room we could ever be assigned to. I don’t know if there are better rooms in this hotel, but ours was for sure the worst: No ventilation, extremely humid due to no windows in the bathroom, the bed was awfully uncomfortable, my bones were sore after a few days. Not to mention the bed had a VERY strong cat pee smell near the headboard. We asked them if it was possible to clean, and there was a cleaning attempt on the 2nd day/time we asked, but not too much success in solving the issue. They said there were no other rooms available for us to switch, so we had to endure the smell, the humidity, the super loud corridor outside of our door. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unfortunately. The wifi also didn’t work on our room, only on the living room of the 1st floor. The staff was nice though, I have to say that at least it seemed that they tried to fix the cat pee issue and they were always nice. The “free breakfast” served on the café next door was so bad, the coffee tasted burned and the food was just.. bad. Besides the staff, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s a shame, since it’s on a nice location for...
Read moreGreat location, ideal really, right on Hassan square, you can hear the gentle music of street performers through your windows, though be careful to pull the curtain over your bathroom window! Very close to all the main sights of Essaouira like the walls, Portuguese tower, fishing boats dock, etc. right in the Medina. Reda at the front desk was so nice! Also the common areas were perfect for just chilling in. I never do this but I actually spent a lot of time just hanging out in the hotel during my trip. ONLY negative is that the internet was spotty 2 out of 3 nights, couldn’t even watch a YouTube video easily. But I’ve heard this is a bit of a concern throughout Essaouira. And it did eventually get back to...
Read moreLocation wise I found it extremely great, as you can walk to the Medina for shopping and to the beach for sunset. Since the rooms were booked by a tour guide, we got the smallest room they had. They have bigger rooms so please check before booking. The small room comes with a small bathroom. Housekeeping staff could be a little more friendly and not treat us like nobody. Front office especially the bald guy (sorry for not knowing your name) helped us with our bags through the tiny steps so please travel light. Music sound at night and then the early morning prayer was too much after a tiring day. Will surely book this place if I travel again but a bigger...
