I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating one-night stay at I bis Fes, and I would strongly advise against booking this hotel.
Despite having a prepaid reservation online, the hotel reception insisted that no payment had been made and demanded full payment again at check-in. I showed them my payment confirmation along with the deducted amount from my bank, yet they continued to treat me like I was trying to cheat them — making me feel like a low-level tourist who couldn’t afford to pay. Completely unprofessional and humiliating behavior.
Unfortunately, the nightmare didn’t stop there. The air conditioner didn’t cool at all — it just blew warm air, and with Morocco’s heat at this time of year, the room was unbearable. I complained three times, went back and forth with the reception, and after over an hour, they finally sent a maintenance person who didn’t speak English. He simply checked the unit and said, “It’s working” — apparently, blowing air equals working AC in their standards. No attempt was made to fix the issue or offer a different room.
To top it off, the room itself was a disaster — no towels, no tissue box, no water bottles provided. The room was so small I could barely move around. And the overall customer service was shockingly poor for an international hotel chain.
This was a pathetic and frustrating experience from start to finish. I will never book an Ibis hotel again and urge others to avoid this...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Ibis Fes hotel, and I was pleased with the overall experience. The hotel's location is excellent, situated near the city center and with easy access to the ancient Medina.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities, including a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and a private bathroom. The bed was particularly comfortable, and I appreciated the extra pillows and blankets provided.
The hotel's staff were friendly and helpful, with many speaking English fluently. They were happy to assist with any questions or requests I had, and they even helped me arrange a guided tour of the Medina.
One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's breakfast buffet, which offered a wide range of delicious options, including pastries, eggs, and fresh fruit.
Overall, I would recommend the Ibis Fes hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Fes. The hotel's excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff make it an ideal choice for both business and...
Read moreI recently stayed at Ibis Fès, and overall, it’s a decent option for a short stay or a business trip. The hotel has a great location, right next to the train station and just a short drive from the old medina, which makes it very convenient for getting around the city.
The staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience pleasant. The rooms are clean, functional, and in line with the usual Ibis standards — nothing extraordinary but reliable. The bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is fairly good.
One of the highlights is the outdoor garden and swimming pool area, a nice spot to relax after a day of sightseeing or work. The breakfast is decent, offering a reasonable selection, though it could use a bit more variety.
A small downside is that some of the facilities are starting to show signs of wear and could benefit from a light renovation. The Wi-Fi works well both in the common areas and in the rooms.
In summary: good value for money, a practical and straightforward choice in Fès — nothing fancy, but efficient and...
