WESTERN TOURISTS BE WARNED!
Unfortunately this hotel has huge problems with noise and temperature, I've never experienced a hotel like it. I'm surprised few other reviews mention this, but I suspect some cultures think nothing of it.
NEGATIVES NOISE: Rooms are poorly insulated and everything is tilled, amplifying the noise. Overnight I heard pipes, guests talking, walking, doors slamming, room entry alarms, guests parties & road traffic. Then in the morning woken by the Mosque and cleaner's trollies. I had to wear earplugs every night to sleep... I've never done that before!
TEMPERATURE: Stayed in room 404 (4th Floor, South Facing) and our room was a constant 26.5 degrees celsius night and day in cold January, weirdly even with windows open. It was too hot to sleep comfortably. Non of the rooms have air conditioning!
FOOD: Breakfast was a standard buffet, the food was mostly average but variable, sometimes the orange juice was cheap concentrate, the scrambled eggs were sloppy & salty, the pastries stale and the pancakes cold. Insultingly the Jewish guests get a private cooked breakfast, I managed to sample it one morning and the orange juice was freshly squeezed and the omelette delicious. Also often food/drink was not labelled, serving utensils and cutlery missing and the chafing dishes were not heated. Bizarrely on the weekend the food quality improves dramatically.
OTHER: Pool and Spa are not heated.
POSITIVES Beds & linen were very good, rooms clean, black out blinds worked perfectly and rooms turned-down great each day.
Nicely decorated hotel, it's pleasing to look at inside and around the pool area. It's well maintained. Plenty of seating areas.
Staff were always polite...

We are Chinese students studying in UK's uni and Marrakech was the last stop on our trip. During our stay one of our friends got into an argument with a hotel guest (a British couple) and they treated my friend violently (the wife slapped my friend in the face while the door of elevator was closing).
The hotel reception refused to offer us any help afterwards in a poor manner and refused to call the police for us to coordinate (as we did not speak French or Arabic) and the only advice was to go to the police station on our own and not to gather in the lobby.
Especially the lobby manager (an older man) who was just as racist as the couple. The lobby manager closed the door when we asked for help, he refused any communication and said we were wasting his time. He was constantly avoiding responsibility and did not want to offer any kind of help. We remained polite throughout, but the staff in reception seemed to favour the British couple more and kept asking why we were causing trouble to the hotel.
In the end we called the police however they kept communicating in French and we were not able to get the apologies as we expected.
The whole experience was very disappointed, but of course the reception of the hotel did not care, they cared about not getting into trouble. I would advise all Asian tourists not to consider this hotel, the reception and especially the lobby manager are biased and discriminatory towards Asians and you will not be treated fairly! No one...
Read moreI stayed at hotel ayoub for the weekend. I feel it is only but fair to give the actual hotel a 5star review because the staff there were amazing and the support in which come up which we needed, they were absolutely amazing, yuself the security guard needs a pay rise the man went above and beyond for me and my partner and they are all so friendly. The rooms themselves were more standard but they were cleaned daily and I felt safe leaving my belongings there i left valuables out and nothing touched apart from a lovely clean room to come back to which was spot on. I only had breakfast here so can't really comment on the food as I am not a big eater for breakfast, there is some variety there and always fresh servings being topped up, again lovely staff they make you all feel so welcome. The pool was lovely spot on 👌 always someone going around tidying area even down to moving pillows back on seated settee area etc. One thing I would only say is it does get busy there but you all take in turns and eventually will get a bed and if not a bed then we just sat on chairs or the settee area which was nice. Pools were lovely and clean and I really am a clean freak again no faults. I would highly recommend staying here . ...
