I discovered this place while walking and looking for a place to eat. As a Moroccan wanting my foreign friend to discover authentic Moroccan food, and who was disappointed with the touristy horrible places in the medina and around jamaa el fna, I was pleasantly surprised. I believe it was a 9/10 on all the dishes. The food is as close as can be to home cooked meals and far from restaurant cooking. Besides being delicious, everything was clean and fresh. The girls serving us were lovely and polite. I would only make a negative comment about the music, which was electronic with some Arabic vibe music, and I felt it didn’t match the food and the vibe. She also didn’t write anything down, so it seems she simply forgot to place part of our order.
We had also ordered dessert, but in the end we decided to skip it because of the long wait. The waitress even came back later, after the main courses and after we had already discussed the delays, to ask again about the dessert order — which made it clear there was confusion in the service.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience — not just because of the mistakes, but because of how poorly the staff handled the situation. There was also a man, possibly the manager, who tried to help, but he clearly needs to improve his communication and...
