Paihia Apartments — Hotel in Bay of Islands-Whangaroa Community

We stayed in a lovely two bedroom/one bathroom apartment. You could request a different setup but we had two king beds per room for our stay.||The apartment was fairly large. It had a kitchen area/entryway, a dining area, and living room with sofa and a covered outdoor balcony. The kitchen was full of useful things – a big fridge and freezer, microwave, stove with two burners, French press and coffee/tea service, kettle, plates, silverware, toaster, and a panini press. You could make yourself a large variety of meals. The living room had the extra bonus of having books, games and even a puzzle that guests could use. There was also a garage to park our car in. There was also a washing machine, but no dryer (but there was a large drying rack in the garage).||The two bedrooms each had fans and big closets and the closets had extra (warm) blankets. Beds were comfortable. There was a bathroom split out with a separate toilet room. The shower was great, nice and warm with excellent water pressure.||The apartments are located in a residential area, set back a couple of blocks from the main street and a lovely 10-minute walk from the main part of town. However, this also means that if you arrive after dark like we did, it is really dark and hard to find the apartment. The hosts were super nice and dealt well with Mrs. Cuddles creeping across the lawn in the middle of the night to try to find the house number (ultimately just telling us we had found the right place).
