Everything seemed fine at first until my food never arrived. No issue at first, but they said that my food had apparently been given out since the orders for the table was complete. So I wanted a refund considering that I didn’t receive my food and they weren’t going to make it. In return I received an attitude and (at first) only a portion of my money back ($20 out of $37). It took a bit more arguing from their end before I received more money, which wasn’t even all of my money but I am a very anxious person so it was good enough for me. I have told plenty of people about the experience even though it only happened today and none of us will ever be visiting again.
(Also by the looks of the food that came out for my other family members, the price is not worth the portions. That’s personal opinion though!)
UPDATE: The restaurant has responded saying that the food was sent out accordingly because I didn’t have a docket for my food (so even though I paid $37 for food I wasn’t going to receive it because there wasn’t a piece of paper). When I ordered I was asked if I was eating with no.24 (my mum’s uncle’s number) and I said yes. So instead of being given a number, my order was now paired with my family’s. It is not my fault that you did not have a docket for my order as I am a customer and it is the job of the person behind the counter to make the dockets. Secondly, my dad (who ordered separately, no.17) didn’t receive 2/3 dishes he ordered so that is why he received a seperate refund. He told me to ALSO get a refund after finding out my order (seperate from his order) wasn’t going to be made and wouldn’t come out. I did not demand but asked politely for my money back and was really nice about the situation as I hate confrontation. I wouldn’t have minded walking away without food and letting you keep my money but I’m glad I got it off you after all of this. My dad is a bit upfront but you were extremely rude and made me quite uncomfortable with your immature behaviour, especially after you started arguing with you employees over the situation. I hope they find better work and that you have an unpleasant 2023. If you had have just listened instead of being an angry 50+ year old toddler we might have established all of this the day...
Read more2nd time having lunch there. 1st time was really good so we brought more family for another go. This time was completely different. We were the only ones in the cafe, and after a long time waiting for our order, only 5 dishes came out. The sixth dish came out 10 minutes later, while most of the table had almost finished their food. It was obviously forgotten and there were no apologies or anything.
Also my son had ordered the fish and chips. The fish tasted off, everyone at the table who tried a piece agreed it tasted terrible. Rest of the food at the table was great, it was just this one dish that was inedible. When I brought it to the attention of the staff all they did was argue that it was fine and we were wrong. I wasn't looking for compensation or an argument, only to inform. I just wanted to share my experience and my disappointment in the customer service. Read moreCame here on a Sunday morning just before lunch. Looking for a coffee and a view. Ended up with the coffee, view and hot chips.
The chips aren't mentioned on the menu board but after a quick question we discovered we could get them. They are delicious, crispy, and we're piping hot. It would have been nice to have some sauce on the side instead of the small amount on the top but we also didn't ask for that afterwards so I'm sure they would have provided it if we requested.
We were staying in and made this clear when ordering but our coffees came in takeaway cups which aren't recyclable. There were proper cups available so this would have been better, for the environment and for the taste of the coffee.
