Looks like the good reviews are confused over which place they went to. This place is a tiny takeaway only place, enterance from Davis Cresent.

We had to eat here as was in walking distance from where we were staying, thought maybe they could have improved. But no! last time the food was ok. This time: $7 american hotdog on a simple little bun with tiny dog and very little cheese onion and sauce is a complete rip off. It came in a nice expensive plastic container :) $8.50 hawaiian Burger was little. Hot chips were poor quality and badly cooked. Seriously you are a takeaway store, you could at least cook decent chips. Wont go back until they make some changes. $2.5 for a can of Coke reflects the fact that you do not sell enough and hence it costs you an arm and a leg to keep them cold.

Visiting Paihia for the weekend and saw this place open on our way back from the local Woolworth’s. We ordered hoki and chips deal with a potatoe fritter which was $12.80. Pretty overpriced especially for the quality we received. The fish and fritter batter you can taste that the oil hasn’t been changed in a while and the batter isn’t crispy not sure what kind of recipe they use or if it’s due to the old oil. Chips were below average as well, I’m not sure how you botch your standard fish and chips and why they charge this much but it’s below standard. Customer service was fine he was nice and the shop was clean. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone but it was late when we got into Paihia and didn’t feel like dining out, in hindsight would have preferred paying a bit extra and went to a local eatery than wasting money on this which ended...

New owners. Need to improve on food plse. Always support local but today's fish n chips order was so greasy with lots of grease sipping thro wrapping. Batter greasy, over cooked. Might need to change oil. Ham burgers were nice though. Service was fine but not liking the greasy batter and grease filled wrapping. Will try again in about 2 weeks, if still same grease filled food then sorry I cannot recommend you to others and Need to find a new chippy takeaway. Loved Ti Bay...
