I’m currently staying in a lake view studio room at this hotel. My first impression wasn’t too bad. I paid AUD302, but unfortunately, the microwave isn’t working and the TV doesn’t turn on. I wanted to call reception, but there’s no phone in the room. I went down to reception to ask about using the microwave, but they were too busy. I waited for 10 minutes, but the line wasn’t moving, so I gave up on both the microwave and watching TV. I’m glad I only booked one night.
Added after the stay: The microwave was locked again the next morning, so I couldn’t use it. Pretty not sure why the hotel set the microwave to automatically lock and made it so that only a manager who knows the passcode...
Read moreI was at Te Anau on my birthday and was travelling solo. Before I entered the hills of Te Anau got really unwell and arrived sick. The check in was not very pleasant. Almost felt like the staffs did not want to be there and almost creating a vibe making feel like -go away. I don’t know what it was but definitely did not feel welcoming. I think I was upgraded.
