MacKinnon Restaurant & Explorer Bar — Restaurant in Fiordland Community

We (2 adults, one child) had a really enjoyable dinner experience this evening at the MacKinnon Restaurant at the Distinction Hotel, Te Anau. Staff were attentive, enthusiastic and friendly. We were seated with a peaceful view of the lake and garden. The fire was cosy (there was fresh snow on the surrounding mountains today!). My husband enjoyed the venison which was beautifully cooked. Fantastic dinner and service. We were staying in the hotel and were looking for somewhere for dinner and luckily we decided to eat at the hotels restaurant.
