Te Anau, Lake — Attraction in Fiordland Community

Good place to stop by if you are in the way to Milford sound. Few good restaurants at the place plus a large convenience store to get your drinks and other stuff. Small town with wonderful people. There are petrol pumps at the place and do stop by at few good photo taking spots while in the way to Milford sound from this place. Plan your lunch stop here if not staying at the place. Beautiful picturesque lake. Calm water. Tranquil and peaceful.

Concrete pathway around the lake front so you can go for a walk or cycle.

Plenty of free parking.

Plenty of accomodation across the road from the lake.

The lake is situated right next to the town. So you can easily walk over.

It’s wheel chair and stroller friendly.

You can book a number of water related activities such as cruises, scenic flights, glow worms from the booking centre located next to the lake.

Walked a couple kilometers around the lake before boarding a catamaran for a ride across the lake to the Glowworm Caves. It is a beautiful lake with beautiful shorelines. Trail along the lake had some people, bit was not overly busy at 4 PM on a week day. A very enjoyable experience. If taking a boat across the lake, especially morning and evenings, I'd recommend a sweat shirt or jacket as it does get cool at...
