We had a single car accident on 25/09/2019 and needed to return back to APEX Queenstown branch ASAP to discuss a replacement car. Right after an accident we are lost and have no idea how to get a reliable transportation back to QT. Thankfully Lakeview holiday park advice us to look for tracknet, the staff after knowing our situation they look even more worried than us and immediately offer their help. It is still winter low season at quiet town Te Anau and there isn't many transportation services running, still they try their very best even calling 3rd party service (which they will not earn a single cent) to help us find a transport back to QT that day. Sadly there is none on that day and we will need to stay one night at Te Anau Lakeview holiday park, and fortunately tracknet offer us a bus service to QT next morning at a budget price NZD98 2 person rather than taking expensive taxi. What astonished us the next morning is we are the only 2 pax to Queenstown and this mean it will be a private charted bus for us, yet tracknet didn't cancel or request a higher price and proceed on schedule normal bus service (which from the way I look at it is totally non profitable). Thank god we met such wonderful people at tracknet friendly and helpful local kiwi, this truly minimize our trip disruption and cost after a car accident. You guys are amazing and made NZ kiwi proud. Our car rental company APEX however displayed otherwise didn't wanted to provide any help or assistance, only to insist that we find our own way return to Queenstown branch to discuss the replacement car ASAP. But in the end when we managed to get back to their office at QT, only to report and file in accident report. No sympathy no compassion no help no mercy at the end of accident report just tell me no replacement car, no discussion of it at all which in the 1st place they said that we'll discuss it at branch office? Really disappointed with APEX car rental and will not recommend APEX at all.

Overall great, but one bad apple ruined it for me, broken foot with crutches and heavy backpack and driver wouldn't drop me off closer to my hostel "the exercise will be good for you" after Ive done 40km and last 12 of which with a broken foot. That 1 km you saved for yourself were "great exercise" thanks. EDIT: Thank you for your reply. However, I'd like to clarify a few points: The drop-off distance was not 200 meters—it was over 400 meters. Again, with a broken foot, crutches, and a heavy backpack, even that distance was extremely challenging. As shown in my screenshot, if the route taken (the blue line instead of the yellow) would have only added about 30 seconds to the ride. Given that there was hardly any traffic, it's hard to understand how a vehicle ride over such a short distance would take 15 minutes. I hope this clarifies the situation.

My first experience with Tracknet is 10/10 for our 170km bus trip from Queenstown to Te Anau! Nigel the first driver was helpful, knowledgeable and comical! Paula the second driver went all out to make sure we each reach our destinations safely, including requesting assistance to cart our over weight luggage to our cabin quite a distance away (with supplies for three weeks! ) Everyone in the bus were seen happy and smiling! Hope every bus trip can be as enjoyable as this one! Highly recommended!!

I did not use the service from Tracknet but I would like to thank their amazing driver Allen for saving us from a car breakdown situation. Without his help, we would have been stranded on the side of the road with our broken car for hours and would definitely miss our cruise at Milford Sound.

We hit the road side kerb and two of the tyres were flat while on the way to Milford Sound. We tried to call for Roadsave and 111 but there was no mobile signal at that location. About 10 minutes later, Allen happened to drive by and stopped for us out of good will. He guided us to park the car properly and hid the key. Then he kindly gave us a lift to Milford Sound Visitor Centre where we were able to make calls. In addition, he helped us to clarify the actual location of the incident and recommend the Roadsave team to tow the car to a 24/7 repair store at Te Anau. Everything went smoothly since then. When we completed our cruise and went back to Te Anau, our car was repaired and ready for collection!

We really appreciate Allen's kindness and expertise in dealing with that situation. We will recommend Tracknet services to our family and friends when they travel to NZ in...

We recently used this service and the drivers are very kind but the company itself seems very disorganised.

On the way there, driver didn’t have our reservation which was made 4 months in advance and thankfully called the head office and found it.

And on the way back, we had to change buses twice. The first bus from Milford to Te Anau was so small and shaky that my partner, sitting in an aisle seat with no armrest, kept nearly falling out of his seat (yes, he was buckled).

We stopped in Te Anau and had to unload our stuff and transfer to another bus which was much nicer but didn’t leave for 30 minutes. We sat in the sun and waited. We finally got in the bus and it needed servicing so turned around and we went to a nearby petrol station which took about 15 minutes.

The driver then took us to another stop later on for a driver change over, which was quick.

This driver took over and had us stop AGAIN for a bathroom break. We were so tired of stopping and just wanted to get home.

Overall it took us 8 hours to get from Milford sound to Queenstown. Longest day of my life after hiking 6 hours in the morning and taking a boat.

TLDR; Too many stops. No...
