I was so lucky to have found this lovely BnB. Vera is so hospitable and naturally sincere and kind. I felt like I have known her for many years. Her house is sunny with a beautiful atrium and has the most wonderful view of the water and the surrounding areas. A pleasant surprise ...she is the most wonderful cook. Breakfast was great and the expresso was out of this world!!! I also had her cooked dinners for me for both nights at her house for extra price. But it was worth it. Doris and Ned are so welcoming, hospitable and overall a most interesting couple who make you instantly feel at home. The setting really is rather special, a tranquil space, surrounded by bush, with amazing views and plenty of bird life - and great breakfast with perfectly poached eggs! I also shared a scrumptious vegetarian meal with them in the evening. I enjoyed our engaging conversations and the beautiful walk through the nearby Fernglen Gardens! Hidden gem! My friend and I just recently stayed here and we just absolutely loved it! Homemade fresh cookies, beautiful and super tidy room, warm welcoming atmosphere. It's such a beautiful green area of Auckland and the views are amazing. Overlooking the forrest and the sea from the balcony after a relaxing sauna session - what else do you need after a delicious cooked breakfast. Thank you so much again Vera!
