It's hard to fault this place. In fact, I can't. It is well patronized by its locals and all those who appreciate the smiles, the warmth to all who enter, also the menu and the service. I can recommend the Wagu steak and cheese pies, particularly when warmed in the toasting maker instead of the microwave, the taste sublime. Oh, and a special mention of dogs are welcome, and I have yet to see one misbehaving. Hello Bella 10/10.
A New Personal Comment. I recently revisited this cafe. The crowd is still there. The atmosphere seems a little rushed. The wait for service was acceptable. What I am in complete criticism of is the previous owners' products, for which I was several times a week visitor. I listened politely to the criticism and paid my $18.00 for a hot hot hot flat white it's got to very very hot to reinforce what I was expecting and to be delivered 5 minutes after the pie arrived. It's not a problem. The pie arrived heated as expected. But guys, if you are to critique a former classic which I consumed several times week please please let's make sure it's up the standard expected. Mine was not. My second gripe was the coffee. A flat white a little warm was nowhere as hot, hot as ordered. Then, as expected, you offer another. No complaints. But then, to go behind the counter and discuss the nature of the complaint. Not while I'm in hearing distance. Please. The coffee was, at best, a little over lukewarm. I admit to my intense dislike of such stuff. My flat white is hot, hot, hot. You had my order, and you failed miserably but to compound the error by discussing the offer of a replacement. You completely overstepped your customer service mark. Coffee is coffee. I drink it as ordered. Not as you perceive it to be drunk. Oh, and because of overheard discussion. I told you not to bother. I will not be back. A recent personal experience. 4/10 Nice see the dogs...

This has been my go-to for takeaway coffee for years — the beans are always spot on, and the barista team is fast, friendly, and genuinely delightful. The kind of place where they remember your name and your order.
I had breakfast here for the first time in ages (last time was under the old owners and, well… prrrrp). But wow — I was blown away. Fresh, flavourful ingredients, perfectly cooked free-range eggs, smashed avocado with a gentle chilli heat, tasty generous portion of bacon and ciabatta that was crisp without cutting up your mouth. Even came with a beautifully balanced little side salad. All served up with gorgeous rustic charm.
The service? Just as good as ever. Warm, fast, and welcoming — exactly what you need to start your day right. The vibe is relaxed and inviting. It’s dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and there’s plenty of space whether you’re in a big group or sneaking off solo to plan your day in peace.
11/10 — can’t wait to make breakfast here part of the...
