I was fire burnt when having cupping!!!!! I don’t event know if the burnt will become a scar or not!!!!
That’s the worst terrible experience I had in my entire life!
My partner and I went for hilot massage with cupping yesterday. When the therapist was placing the first cupping at my back, I felt it’s a bit warm. I have done the cupping many times before so I didn’t think it’s an issue. After few seconds, I felt it was really hot (like burning hot). I screamed and therapist took out that cup for me. I felt it’s really hot. But the therapist just said sorry, then she continued to massage!!!
She should have seen that my back was burnt!!! She should have stopped the massage and told me!!! The best way to relieve the fire burnt should be immersing the burnt into cold water!!!!!!🤬 she didn’t do anything and just continued massaging!!!!
After the massage, I asked my partner to have a look what’s happened at my back. It’s obviously burnt (see photo).
The manager just gave me a band aid (which fire burnt shouldn’t be using!!!). They don’t event have any first aid kit!!! I don’t think it’s legal for a business to operate in store without a first aid kit!!!! That’s illegal!
After all of this drama, manager gave me $10 off for the cupping.
That’s ridiculous! My body is going to have a scar because of this stupid thing!
Safety should be the first priority for running a business! I know accidents may happen, but as a commercial business, you should have some common sense/ways to deal with this...
Read moreI was gifted a Groupon massage for my birthday. There was a LOT of fine print which made it difficult to fit into my working schedule (massage must be booked 7 days in advance, from 12-4.30pm only, only for soft-medium pressure). I work and could only book at 7pm so they charged me 15 dollars.
THIS IS A FRIGGIN RIP OFF. The voucher itself cost 69 dollars. Plus my extra 15 so in total they received 84 bucks from my massage. But the website says a one hour standard hilot massage (which is what I got!) Is 70 dollars normally! So they made 14 extra dollars from someone WHO USED A VOUCHER. WHAT A JOKE.
The massage was decent. It took a while to find the right pressure but the head massage was particularly enjoyable.
The only issue was I was freezing throughout... they didn't have the heater going (I could see they have a heat pump) and my hands and feet were basically ice. I'm surprised they didn't make the room warmer or provide thicker sheets during an evening in winter. That's definitely something to consider for...

From the moment I stepped into the spa, the friendly staff warmly welcomed me. The soft light, soothing music, and calming aromas allowed me to fully immerse in a state of deep relaxation.
My massage therapist was an absolute gem. She took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and preferences, ensuring a tailored experience to address my needs.
The massage itself was simply divine. The strokes were precisely firm yet gentle, perfectly targeting the troublesome areas that needed attention. I felt the tension melting away from my body.
The thoughtful extras such as warm foot soak, essential oil, warm towel, and ginger tea further enhanced my overall experience.
I left the place feeling restored and revitalised. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
I highly recommend Bamboo Spa Northshore to anyone in need of a top-notch massage and well-deserved...
