Walked into rooms booked for myself and my siblings and things were broken, and just from that point I knew our stay was going to be a heck of a stay! Showered both my babies because one was complaining about itchy foot! They played for awhile running up and down stairs that was in our room by the time I told them to jump into bed both there feet were hella dirty! Cleanliness was out the gate disgusting with seeing that after they just showered! Wiped them down again because of the whole dirty floors and tucked them into bed only for them both to be unsettled, removed heavy blankets from the bed and discovered crumb like things on the bed! I had to remake and dust everything off just so my babies would be comfortable! While I was unloading bags on to couch my babies ended up up again and jumping on the bed causing the liner “green” piece thing they place at the end of the bed to flip over couldn’t be more disgusted like they used the green liner thing to wipe dust and food of the tables then place it on to the beds! FURIOUS😤
No oven! Just a frying pan that was so lame! A fridge that couldn’t even fit things for my babies! Ridiculous prices for room service for both kids and adults meals! Dusty draws! Not having family over especially being from W.A! Pathetic I tell ya, we’re not in damn lock down. Thin as walls you could hear everything from babies coughing people sneezing coughing everything!!!
Pros- was wifi if it wasn’t for wifi being so sufficient don’t know how we would’ve got...

For the price it was reasonable considering the convinience of all amenities within a close walking distance. Due to our budget we asked for a smaller room (1bedroom suite) as the only difference between that room and the family room was a single bed. The suite has a large double bed and a fold down couch so I rang back and I asked him if we could have that room instead. After explaining my kids were small enough to fit on the fold down couch and our 1 year old had her portable cot he gladly agreed to let us have the suite but went a little further and offered us the family room at the same rate as the suite. This is service at its finest. A stranger to this man I was and he showed a high level of professionalism, compassion and courtesy towards my family in the form of family focused policies that they have in place. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly smile and a very pleasant environment. If I needed anything all we had to do was ask. I highly recommend Motel 540, the people from manager to employees are friendly and courteous and makes staying here a pleasurable experience. This is our new motel when we're in Auckland we will go no where else! Thank you John and Sam we had a...
Read moreMade a booking at this hotel a year ago, put written request asking for a late check in as our flight was in at 11.45 pm. Tried to email hotel on their own web site but was unable to do so, their system just would not allow me to email. Telephoned the property only to hear recorded message advising reception was closed. Called again spoke to a female Sam who was very brusque, gave her my details so she could email instructions for late arrival. No instructions came, called again, Sam kept on overt talking so I was impossible speak, she rattled off an email address and told me to email her, then put the phone down on me. As we were already enroute I had to phone again this time the phone was answered by the most rude male I have ever met in all my 64 years on this planet and as a world wide traveller. Again I had to explain what had happened, he also overtalked constantly, i asked him what I could do and he advised me to cancel and told me not to get “snippy” with him, I did point out I was the customer but the male who did not give his name, put the phone down. I do not believe customers are always right but I do believe they should be treated with respect and civility. Needless to say...
