NIGHTMARISH EXPERIENCE! HIGHLY AVOIDABLE PLACE!

The owner of this workshop is rude, arrogant and discourteous. He has 2 young & probably inexperienced workers(at least the one who worked on my car didn't look very experienced & skillful). I had taken my car there to get a leaking pipe in the cooling system of my car replaced. I told one of the workers at this place exactly what the issue was. He said very confidently that they can fix it and quoted $80 for the pipe and $50 for labor and said he can replace the pipe in 30 minutes. I told him that I'll arrange the pipe myself as I'll probably find one cheaper and get it replaced from them. I bought the said pipe from Nissan King for $57 and brought it to this workshop for replacement. Now the issue wasn't the higher price quoted by this workshop for the pipe but the standard of service and workmanship offered by this workshop which is pathetic. Also, when I went to this workshop with the cooling pipe they quoted $60 for labor whereas about 30 minutes earlier they had quoted $50. On being reminded, the mechanic I had spoken to had a long conversation with the owner & agreed to do it for $50 & started the job. It was 1:30 PM when he started the repair and I had to attend an important appointment at 4 PM in Pukekohe. I thought I had sufficient time as the mechanic had told me that he can replace the pipe in 30 minutes. But the mechanic struggled badly to complete the job. It took him almost an hour and a half to remove the leaking pipe. He raised the car on the hoist and lowered it many times while trying to reach the pipe. After making several futile attempts to remove the leaking pipe, the mechanic removed the left fender panel above the tyre and also top of the air filter assembly to access the leaking pipe, removing several clips in the process. While he struggled with this job, his boss was muttering to him about the time he was taking but being an experienced mechanic himself(as he claims) not once did he try to see why it was taking him so long. When the mechanic managed to remove the leaking pipe, his boss again muttered something to him and then he said to me that the clamps which tighten the hose on to the pipe were damaged and it would cost $10 for new ones. I understood what they were muttering about. Even though the clamps were fine, they were just making an excuse to get more money for the repair. I agreed to it as having lost confidence in the competence of that mechanic I was worried that he may deliberately cause some issue and I wanted to get my car out of that workshop in a driveable condition asap. I also asked the owner of this workshop if the hose into which the pipe fits is in good condition. He didn't even understand what I had asked and replied in a very rude manner-"Is your car brand new? Would the parts in the car be brand new then?" I was really annoyed by his reply but kept my calm and told him to talk logic. I told him that I asked him about the condition of the hose to make sure if it is acceptable or needs to be replaced. I am not sure if he was even trying to understand. The owner of this workshop is literally the most rude and ill mannered mechanic I have ever come across. After saying 30 minutes, this workshop completed the repair in 2 hours and 30 minutes besides offering a pathetic standard of service. It was a very bad experience to say the least. I'll never use this workshop again nor recommend...

I've paid too much money here with my cars and it's forever a repair after a repair. Big red flags and never again. The first fix was good and then after that I got worst with more repairs. Decided to get a second opinion based on a leak and no leak at all. These guys are milking it...be ware...they may knock parts for ongoing repairs. Really disappointing

Update: U guys did a WOF and you failed 6 things on my car and quoting it may be $1000 however i went to do it again and it only failed 3 things, 2 out of 6 were needed with the one u didnt pick up, anyways it cost way cheaper to fix 3 things, car was warranted and rego all on same day. I went back to the place to get coolant checked they did a test with me standing there and no leaks at all they weren't sure what use were talking about and suggested I go elsewhere to get my cars fix as normally some mechanics would want u to stay with them for unnecessary fixtures to keep their business going, I would recommend u just be honest to ur customers next time and the charges are costly, we are all struggling to get by and we have to be fair. You also need a.courtesy car service as I was without my car for over a week and I had to call u guys to see what was happening. I took my car to another place, courtesy car strait away. I'm just speaking my truth and voicing...
