Hardly got any sleep. I think only a couple of rooms got the ceiling to floor window facing the Broadway St and unfortunately we stayed in one of them. Everything else was like everyone described: clean with good WiFi but the noise at night was unbearable. There was always some trucks or cars passing by as this is a main road to the airport. The window is NOT soundproofed - we heard every word when a guy walked pass and on the phone. At some stage I even got up and checked if they are actually closed. I called the manager earlier that night, expressing my concern as I could hear some loud music. He told me he never had any complaints and that was from some random guys in the parking lot. I accepted his reasoning and let it go. How wrong had I been! I should have realized if I could clearly hear some car music from a parking lot nearby, then I would be able to hear everything on the street later on! And we can’t do anything about it since no one would answer the phone after 9pm. Obviously I cant comment on other rooms as I didn’t stay in them but I find it’s hard to believe that the hotel doesn’t know they have a couple of rooms that got terrible noise at night. So if you really decide to book in this one, please double check you are not getting one of...
Read moreTHE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. SO BAD A POLICE STATEMENT WAS GIVEN BY ME. I am an avid traveler who have experienced many highs and lows of travel in over 36 countries. This is by far the worst I have ever been treated. I arrived at 6am with many bags (as I am moving home after 5years) and was waiting out the front of the hotel for only 30mins. All I wanted to do was leave my bags so I could get food and pass the time until check-in at 2pm. Within minutes the lady was aggressive in her speech, told me she was locking the door and I couldn’t sit in the lobby or leave my bags. Once the man returned he began to get angry and treating me in the most unexpected way. He were rude, he began shouting at me saying things like SHUT UP, he told me I couldn’t be there, they told me they called the police, and then once I was outside with my belongings the man kicked my bag along the ground. I was expected to go back there that night. No way! I was shaking, crying and shocked. Furthermore, Booking.com said they could not refund me regardless that I felt threatened and unsafe. Its rated a 9 out of 10 but it was a 0 out of 10. A bit of advice, get out of the hospitality business if you can’t treat people...
Read moreCar park had mud/oil that got on my footwear upon arrival in the dark. Went to room not knowing my footwear was filthy and stained the carpet going to our room. I took a video in the morning that followed my footprints out to the carpark and then went to the boot of my car that showed wet mud on the ground. Told the front desk about the floor and the video in case they tried to charge me for cleaning... they said it would be fine. 2 hours after checking out I got an email threatening to possibly charge me for the carpet cleaning. I rang them and told them I would release the video over social media and also see them in court. After several minutes on the phone I told the staff to check the reception floor where I first picked up my room key and he told me reception floor was clean. Got an email saying the carpark is dirty and will be waterblasted the next fine day...
Ruined my stay here and spoiled our weekend away. Won't ever stay there again and won't be recommending it to anyone as there was no apology...
