The service at this BK branch is incredibly slow and disorganised. I saw one staff member literally running around in circles for two minutes before finally handing someone a drink cup. I waited over 30 minutes for my order ā which defeats the entire purpose of āfastā food.
When my order finally showed as āready for pickup,ā I went to the counter and tried to politely get the managerās attention ā she was standing right in front of me ā but she completely ignored me. I managed to flag down another staff member and gave him my order number out loud. When he approached the manager (a Filipina lady), she snapped at him and yelled, āJust process the order Iām giving you now!ā It was clear she had no idea how to manage the floor or direct her team properly.
Eventually, I did get my food ā almost cold by then. I understand it can get busy, but I went an hour before closing time, which isnāt usually peak hours, so I really donāt understand why the wait was so long. Also, I could see several other customers around me facing the same issue ā waiting forever and looking just as frustrated.
Whatās most concerning is that this branch is located right next to the airport. People might stop by hoping to grab a quick bite before their flight ā but with service this slow, you genuinely risk missing your flight. Fast food should be fast, and a half-hour wait is completely unacceptable.
This isnāt even my first time experiencing such delays at this branch. Sadly, it seems to be a recurring issue due to poor management. Definitely wouldnāt recommend this location to...

Today was different service that was disappointing to me. It is the 2nd time I would use my covid passport so was prepared. Surprisingly the gentle man (of fair complection) in front of me was not asked for his Pass to view. Okay 1. My turn I am asked to provide mine so I comply once sighted then my order is taken. Simple. I stand to the side to await my orders. The next 2 customers (of fair complection) were not asked at all for a pass to view. That's 3. The brown gentleman next is then asked for his Pass to view. Huh whats wrong with this picture :( the forth person standing in line is my college also (of fair complection) was also not asked to view his Pass WoW Burgar King Wellington That was a sad display of RACIALLY PROFILING today in my eyes and in broad daylight with a smile. NO Way That's Not OK and you are brown skin yourself MANAGEMENT PLEASE DISCUSS WITH YOUR TEAM A BETTER PROCESS. I am also a manager during the week days today is my day off so I want to know why was it only the brown skinned (whanau) people that were asked for Vacine passes and not our fair skinned (whanau) asked. When eating in, the ice in the drink machine is often out. One time I sat in there for about 20 minutes while the door was locked from the outside and only able to be opened if the customers inside pushed the button. The staff members seemed entirely oblivious to this until informed. They also managed to make the Rebel Whopper patty entirely black. Bath rooms were out of soap, and from memory so was the hand sanitizer thing.
I understand fast food is a stressful, unfun job that is underpaid, but this is isn't rocket science. I should add that most of the time things have been messed up, it hasn't been super busy, so understaffing is only part of the problem.
BK management, if you're reading this: allow your establishment enough staff to run properly, and pay them enough to exercise basic listening comprehension.
