Peloton Bar & Eatery — Restaurant in Wellington

Stopped by before heading home for some much needed lunch.

We were served right away by a lovely gentleman at the counter Decided to have a glass of wine and a beer to go with our lunch today. Prices as you expect with it being in the airport.

We ordered the steak and ceaser salad.

Steak 150g cooked beautifully no fault here Ceaser salad was delicious portion big and the dressing was soooo good would recommend a bit more bacon but apart from that I enjoyed it.

I highly recommend this place if your looking for a low key place to sit and dine whilst you wait for your flight.

Its in a great location away from the hussle and bussle of the airport tucked away upstairs...

Quiet place to sit made up for the undrinkable coffee. The minimal plate of scrambled eggs with one piece of toast was tasty but was not filling. Service was efficient, could be friendlier. Was puzzled being asked where im sitting when ordering as the staff member had seen me walk in and directed me to the till to order...so I had not yet picked a table. That was resolved by being told where I would sit so a table number could be allocated to the order. The place was empty so I would not have been hard to find. Been travelling overseas....so been spoilt...

Food was fine, chicken wings were expensive for the portion size but tasty enough. The service was atrocious, the worst we experienced in all of NZ. Staff ignored us when we arrived. They ran out of water jugs (possibly because they weren't clearing tables). They wouldn't make changes to dishes (mash to chips) and said there would be a charge but then couldn't say what the charge would be. The other eatery in the hotel was closed both nights we stayed and it was lucky it was as the staff definitely couldn't cope. Shame as the setting...
